Description
Built for Delhi's Water, Not Just Delhi's Winters.
Blue Diamond® Tank · Glass-Coated Element · 8 Bar.
Hard water is what kills geysers in this city, and this one is engineered around that from the inside out · a Blue Diamond® glass-lined tank resisting corrosion in the toughest water conditions, backed by a 7-year tank warranty · a glass-coated Incoloy heating element that resists scale build-up rather than accumulating it · a long-life anode rod with twice the lifespan of a standard magnesium rod · hot water in 29 minutes from a 2000W element · rated to 8 bar for high-rise and pump-fed supplies · thermal cut-off, ELCB and a multi-function valve · 3 Star rated
Blue Diamond®glass-lined tank
Geysers rarely fail because the element burns out — that's a cheap repair. They fail because the tank corrodes from the inside and starts leaking, and at that point the whole unit comes off the wall. Delhi's hard water accelerates that process considerably. AO Smith's answer is Blue Diamond® glass lining, a corrosion-resistant barrier fused to the tank's interior so the steel never touches the water attacking it — designed specifically for the toughest water conditions. The 7-year tank warranty is AO Smith putting money behind that lining rather than simply describing it, and the tank warranty is the number that actually predicts how long the machine lasts.
The anode rod and the element — two more defences against hard water
An anode rod is a sacrificial component: it corrodes deliberately so the tank doesn't, and once it's consumed the tank starts corroding instead. That's why rod life matters so much — and AO Smith's long-life anode rod offers twice the lifespan of a standard magnesium rod, which roughly doubles the interval before the tank is exposed. Separately, the glass-coated Incoloy heating element attacks the other hard-water problem: scale. Bare elements accumulate a mineral crust that insulates them, so the geyser takes longer and costs more to heat the same water. A glass coating resists scale formation, keeping heating efficient for years rather than months.
ELCB — the protection worth checking for on any geyser
A water heater is the one appliance where mains electricity and water meet inside a sealed vessel in a wet room, and an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker is the specific protection against the worst outcome: it detects current leaking to earth — the path a shock would take — and cuts supply in a fraction of a second. Not every geyser at this level includes one. Alongside it sit a thermal cut-off, which shuts the unit down if temperature runs away, and a multi-function valve handling pressure relief. Three independent protections, each covering a different failure.
💧 Three defences against hard water
Blue Diamond® Lining
A corrosion-resistant glass barrier between the water and the tank steel
Glass-Coated Element
Incoloy element that resists the scale which slows heating and raises bills
Long-Life Anode Rod
Twice the lifespan of a standard magnesium rod before the tank is exposed
🛡️ Safety and efficiency
ELCB
Earth leakage breaker cuts supply if current leaks to earth
Thermal Cut-Off
Shuts the unit down if temperature climbs too far
Multi-Function Valve
Handles pressure relief and non-return duties
Advanced PUF
Holds heat longer between uses, cutting standby loss
📦 In the box
A temperature control knob lets you set the heat you want — lower through summer, higher in winter — which is the simplest way to cut running cost on a 50-litre tank you're heating every day.
Enough stored hot water for back-to-back showers or a family bathroom in the morning, without the second person waiting for a reheat cycle.
A published figure rather than a vague claim — 2000W brings a full 50-litre tank up in under half an hour, so a morning routine doesn't need planning the night before.
Built for multi-storey buildings and homes running a pressure pump, where a lower-rated tank would strain, leak at the joints or fail early.
Maintains temperature longer between uses, so the thermostat cuts in less often overnight — the saving you see on the bill rather than in the bathroom.
