Description
Whole Apples In. No Chopping Board.
40 RPM · Intelli Rev™ · 200 W · Nut Milks.
Atomberg's cold press juicer, built around the two things that decide whether a juicer gets used or shelved · a large self-feeding hopper taking whole small fruits and large chunks — so prep is washing and feeding, not ten minutes with a knife · Intelli Rev™, which detects a blockage and reverses the motor automatically to clear it, instead of stalling and making you dismantle the thing · 40 RPM slow press extraction, crushing rather than shredding, so juice isn't heated or whipped full of air · nut milk capability — almond, cashew, oat · 3-step tool-free disassembly with a cleaning brush supplied · Hopper Lock and Auto Lid Detection safety · LED mode indicators · just 200 W · 1.2 litres · ABS with stainless steel · Midnight Black
Large
hopperless prep, more juice
The reason most cold press juicers end up in a cupboard isn't performance — it's the chopping. Narrow feed chutes mean every apple, carrot and beetroot has to be cut into fingers before it goes in, which adds ten minutes of knife work to every single session. On a weekday morning that's the difference between making juice and not bothering. The Althea's large self-feeding hopper takes whole small fruits and large vegetable chunks, so preparation is washing produce and dropping it in. That's the feature that decides whether you're still using this in six months — more than any extraction claim on the box.
Intelli Rev™ — because slow juicers jam, and this one un-jams itself
Every slow juicer blocks eventually. The auger turns gently — that's the whole point — which means it has limited force for pushing through dense produce. Beetroot, ginger, hard carrots, fibrous celery, a fistful of leafy greens: on a standard slow juicer these stall the motor, and you stop, reverse manually, dismantle, clear it, reassemble. Do that twice and you stop juicing beetroot. Intelli Rev™ detects the blockage and reverses the motor automatically to release it, then resumes — without you touching anything. For the amla, ginger, turmeric root and hard carrots that Indian juicing actually involves, that's the difference between a juicer you can leave running and one you have to supervise.
What 40 RPM actually means — and what it doesn't
A conventional centrifugal juicer spins blades at thousands of RPM, shredding produce and throwing juice outward. A cold press auger turns at around 40 RPM and crushes instead — pressing produce against a strainer rather than shearing it. The practical, observable differences: noticeably less foam, because far less air is whipped in; juice that separates and browns more slowly, so it keeps better in the fridge; drier pulp and better yield from leafy greens and wheatgrass, which centrifugal juicers handle poorly; and much quieter operation. It's slower per glass — that's the honest trade — but the juice is better and you can talk over it.
🥤 What it makes
Nut milk is the one people underestimate. Shop-bought almond milk is expensive and mostly water — making it at home from soaked almonds costs a fraction and tastes considerably better.
🎯 Right for
At 200 W it runs on an ordinary socket — no dedicated high-power point needed, unlike most centrifugal juicers.
🛡️ Safety and controls
Hopper Lock prevents the motor starting unless the hopper is correctly seated, and Auto Lid Detection stops it instantly if opened mid-run — both matter with a rotating auger reachable through the feed opening.
Disassemble, rinse, done — with a brush supplied for the strainer mesh. A juicer that cleans in three minutes gets used; one that takes fifteen does not.
At 40 RPM this hums rather than screams — you can make juice at 6 am without waking the house, which a centrifugal juicer makes impossible.
Cold press pulp comes out dry and fine — it works in parathas, muffins, soups and stock rather than going straight in the bin.
