Two separate things here, and the second is the interesting one. 2X Power Steam during a normal wash removes up to 99.99% of germs and allergens — worth having for bedding, baby clothes and anyone in the house with allergies. But Steam Refresh is a cycle in its own right: 30 minutes, steam only, no water and no detergent, for clothes that have been worn once and aren't dirty — a jacket after a day out, a kurta that's picked up cooking smells, a shirt from the back of a wardrobe. It saves those garments from a full wash, which saves water, detergent, time and a great deal of fabric wear.
