In a semi-automatic, the spin tub is what decides how your day goes. At 1350 RPM this one throws the water out hard, so the load comes off the machine damp rather than dripping and goes onto the line already most of the way there. Through a Delhi monsoon week, or a January morning when the fog does not lift until noon, that is the difference between a school uniform being ready by night and being ready by the day after. Pair it with the 10.5 Kg wash tub and a five-to-seven member household gets bedsheets, towels, jeans and uniforms through in far fewer rounds.
Roller Jet Pulsator + Collar Scrubber — the cleaning end of the machine
The pulsator is the disc at the base of the wash tub, and its shape decides how hard the water works. LG's Roller Jet design adds roller projections to the disc face so the water moves in a multi-directional turbulence pattern instead of one lazy circular current — fabric collides with fabric and with moving water, and that mechanical action is what lifts embedded soil out of thick cotton, denim and towels. The Collar Scrubber is a textured section of the tub wall for exactly the two places a wash cycle alone struggles with: shirt collars and cuffs, where body oil and sweat set into the weave. Rub the collar against it before the cycle, and the wash finishes the job.
Wind Jet Dry — why the clothes come out of the spin tub drier
After the spin, a film of moisture stays in the fibres, and in a Delhi July with 90% humidity that film takes hours to leave on its own. Wind Jet Dry pushes ambient air through vents in the spin tub wall during and after the spin, constantly replacing the saturated air sitting against the wet fabric with drier air, so evaporation carries on inside the tub before you have even lifted the load out. It uses no heater, so nothing shrinks or scorches. What you notice is shorter rack time and clothes that do not pick up that damp, shut-in smell during the monsoon or the winter fog weeks.
