Every washing machine can weigh a load. Weight alone tells you very little — three kilos of towels and three kilos of shirts need completely different handling, and a machine that only counts kilos treats them identically. AI Direct Drive™ detects the softness of the fabric as well as the weight, then chooses the optimal motions for that fabric by itself. It works from sensors reading fabric type and soil level against more than 20,000 data points of accumulated wash data. The practical result: you stop choosing programmes. A conventional washing machine has one movement: the drum turns. Hand washing doesn't work that way — you rub sturdy cotton, you swish delicates, you knead heavy fabrics. 6 Motion Direct Drive™ gives the drum six distinct washing motions, combined differently for each fabric type to deliver better wash performance to each one. Because the motor is direct drive — connected straight to the drum with no belt in between — it can change direction and speed precisely enough to produce those motions, and it runs quieter with fewer parts to wear out. Steam — for what a cold-water rinse leaves behind
