Six movements are available to it — Tumble, Swing, Rolling, Scrubbing, Filtration and Stepping — all modelled on hand-washing. Scrubbing for the school uniforms with a week of playground on them, Swing for the delicate kurta, Stepping for baby clothes, Rolling for winter knits. The selection happens inside the cycle, so a mixed family load gets the right treatment without you standing at the panel choosing programmes. And because Direct Drive turns the drum without a belt or pulley, there is less to wear out and less noise while it works.
