Direct Cool with R600a — simple, efficient cooling built for a compact Delhi flat
Direct Cool is the workhorse design: fewer moving parts, lower running cost, and a 3 Star BEE rating that keeps the monthly bill sensible through a long north-India summer. It runs on R600a, an eco-friendly hydrocarbon refrigerant with a very low global warming impact. Inside, the shelves are toughened glass — they take the weight of a full pressure cooker of leftover dal or a tray of mithai without flexing, and they wipe clean when something spills. The anti-bacterial gasket around the door matters more here than most people realise: through monsoon humidity that rubber seal is exactly where fungus and bacteria like to settle, and an anti-bacterial gasket resists that build-up.
