Blue
Diamond®the tank is the product
Geysers almost never fail from the outside — the tank corrodes from within, and in Delhi's hard water it happens faster than the brochure assumes. That's the whole problem AO Smith's Blue Diamond® glass lining exists to solve: a fused coating between the water and the steel, engineered for superior corrosion resistance and longer life in the toughest water conditions. Behind it sits a long-lasting anode rod — a sacrificial second layer that corrodes so the tank doesn't. On a 50-litre tank holding a lot of water for a long time, both matter more than on a small unit. This is what you're paying the premium for, and it's the right thing to pay it for.
Fifty litres — and how to know if you actually need it
50 litres is the largest domestic size, and it's the right answer only if the geyser is genuinely your bottleneck. It suits 3 to 5 members, a household with a bathtub, or a bathroom where people shower back-to-back at the same hour. As a guide: 15 litres covers a standard family bathroom, 25 litres handles consecutive showers, and 50 litres is for bathtubs, larger families or two points of use. Bigger isn't automatically better — a larger tank costs more to buy and more to keep hot. Tell us your household size and whether you have a tub, and we'll tell you honestly which size to take.
Double protection — and why 8 bar matters in an apartment
A geyser combines electricity, pressure and water, so the safeguards matter more here than on almost any other appliance. The double protection system pairs a thermal cut-out against overheating with a safety valve controlling pressure build-up. On top of that, the 8 bar rated pressure is the specification people skip and then regret: water pressure in a multi-storey building — especially on lower floors, or anywhere with a booster pump — runs far higher than a ground-floor house, and a tank not rated for it is stressed every single day. If you live in a tower, check this number before you check the brand.

Glass coated, scale resistant
Double Protection
Thermal cut-out + safety valve
🎯 Right for
At 11.8 kg empty the unit is light — but a full 50-litre tank adds another 50 kg of water, so the wall and bracket must carry well over 60 kg in use. That is a genuine structural consideration, not a formality.
✨ Build and design
Five stars on a 50-litre tank is where efficiency genuinely shows — this is the unit holding the most water at temperature, for the longest, through a Delhi winter.
Incoloy resists scaling far better than ordinary elements, and the glass coating adds another barrier — which is what keeps heating times from creeping up year after year.
Enough power that even a 50-litre tank reheats in reasonable time rather than making you plan the morning around it.
Worth knowing: the anode is a consumable that protects the tank by corroding itself. Having it checked periodically is what extends tank life in hard water.
