A geyser has two components that end its life: the tank and the element. Both are covered here for 7 years and 4 years, against a category standard of roughly five and two. PUF insulation — and why standby loss is the real commercial running cost
Every storage geyser loses heat while it simply sits there, then reheats to compensate. That's standby loss, and on a 100-litre tank held at temperature through an eight or ten hour working day it is the single biggest line in the running cost — bigger than the actual hot water drawn. Advanced PUF insulation is injected as a closed-cell foam filling the space between inner tank and outer shell completely, and it retains heat substantially better than the mineral wool used in economy heaters. The practical effect is simple: the element switches on to reheat less often, which on a unit this size compounds every single day it operates.

🔧 Practical details
Bottom inlet and outlet matters at this size — it lets the unit be mounted high while the plumbing connections stay at working height, and it allows complete tank drainage during service.
Useful where one unit serves different needs — a lower setting reduces scald risk in a hostel; a higher one suits salon and cleaning use.
The anode is a consumable that protects the tank by corroding itself. Double the life means fewer service visits — which in a salon or hostel means fewer shutdowns during business hours.
