Description
Seven Years on the Tank. Four on the Element.
70 L · Incoloy · 2X Anode · PUF Insulated.
AO Smith's large-capacity geyser, built for households and light commercial use where hot water can't run out · a 7-year warranty on the inner tank — longer than most brands offer on any part of a geyser — plus 4 years on the heating element and 2 years comprehensive · a glass-lined tank protecting the steel from the corrosion that ends most water heaters · a glass-coated Incoloy heating element, a nickel-chromium alloy that resists the scale build-up that kills ordinary elements in hard water · a 2X long-lasting anode rod, rated for double the life of a standard magnesium rod · advanced PUF insulation holding heat far longer between uses · 70 litres for large families, salons, clinics and guest houses · bottom inlet and outlet for easier plumbing · an adjustable thermostat from about 25°C to 75°C · made in India

A geyser has exactly two components that end its life: the tank and the element. This one is covered for seven years and four years respectively. That's the whole argument, and it's an unusually strong one — most water heaters carry five years on the tank at best, and the standard element cover across the category is two years. AO Smith doubling that on the element, and adding two years on top of the usual tank period, is a manufacturer putting its own money behind the corrosion and scale engineering. On a ₹21,992 geyser expected to run daily for a decade in Delhi's water, the warranty schedule is the specification worth comparing — not the litres.
Incoloy — because scale is what actually kills heating elements
Ordinary heating elements fail in hard water for a predictable reason: calcium deposits build up on the surface, insulating the element from the water. It then has to run hotter to deliver the same heat, and eventually it overheats and burns out — commonly within a few years in Delhi NCR. Incoloy is a nickel-chromium alloy developed specifically for heating elements in corrosive conditions, and the glass coating over it gives scale a smooth surface it struggles to bond to. Together they slow the build-up rather than fighting it. That's what the 4-year element warranty is really telling you — AO Smith expects it to outlast a standard element by a wide margin.
PUF insulation — the feature that shows up on the electricity bill
Every storage geyser loses heat while it just sits there, and reheats to compensate. That's standby loss, and on a 70-litre tank kept hot through the day — a salon, a clinic, a guest house, a large family — it's the single biggest running cost. Advanced PUF insulation is injected as a closed-cell foam that fills the space between the inner tank and the outer shell completely, and it retains heat substantially better than the mineral wool used in economy heaters. The practical effect: water stays closer to the set temperature through a long draw period, and the element switches on to reheat less often. On a tank this size, that difference compounds every month.
🛡️ Four layers of protection
Glass-Lined Tank
Corrosion barrier on the steel
Incoloy Element
Glass coated, scale resistant
2X Anode Rod
Corrodes so the tank doesn't
PUF Insulation
Low standby heat loss
🎯 Right for
This is a genuinely commercial-scale geyser. For a normal family bathroom, 25 litres is usually the right answer and costs a great deal less to buy and to run — tell us the usage and we'll size it honestly.
🔧 Practical details
Bottom inlet and outlet matters on a unit this size — it lets the geyser be mounted high while the plumbing connections stay at working height, rather than the plumber reaching over a 70-litre tank.
Useful where one geyser serves different needs — lower for children and bathing, higher for kitchen and cleaning.
The anode is a consumable that protects the tank by corroding itself. Double the life means half the replacement visits — which matters most in a commercial installation.
70 litres with heavy-duty protection suits a salon, clinic or guest house — and we supply on GST invoice for business buyers.

Warranty as per AO Smith's terms and conditions — 7 years on the inner tank, 4 years on the heating element (2+2 extended) and 2 years comprehensive on the product, subject to T&C; please refer to the final invoice or warranty card for exact coverage, exclusions and service process. Anode rod replacement and periodic servicing may be required to maintain tank warranty validity. Heating time, hot water availability, energy consumption, corrosion resistance and component life vary with inlet water temperature, water hardness, water pressure, plumbing layout, voltage conditions, installation quality, usage pattern and maintenance. Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician with proper earthing, MCB and a correctly fitted pressure release valve; the mounting wall must support the full weight of a filled tank. Do not operate without water in the tank. Image for reference only; actual serial number, manufacturing date and finish may vary by batch.
