Description
Check your water supply — and ask us for the full specification
An RO purifier should be matched to the water it will actually treat. RO membranes have a maximum input TDS they are rated for, and a minimum supply pressure they need to work properly. If your supply is borewell or tanker water, high in TDS, or comes off a tank with weak pressure, tell us before ordering. Supplier material for this model is also unusually thin — flow rate, storage material, maximum input TDS and dimensions are all missing, and we have marked them in the table below rather than guessing. Call 9710000251 and we will get the full specification from Eureka Forbes before you commit.
RO Takes the Minerals Out.
Mineral Guard Puts the Good Ones Back.
A 7-stage RO+UV purifier built around the one real drawback of reverse osmosis · Mineral Guard technology addresses the fact that an RO membrane strips useful minerals along with the contaminants · a copper zinc booster · 7-stage purification combining RO and UV, which handle chemical and biological contamination through separate mechanisms · stainless steel in the water path · 5 litres of storage · 7.6 kg, so it is light enough for straightforward wall mounting · a black and metallic copper finish · 1 year manufacturer warranty
Mineral
Guardthe honest problem with RO
Reverse osmosis has one genuine drawback, and the better manufacturers do not pretend otherwise. The membrane works by rejecting anything dissolved in the water that is larger than a water molecule. That is exactly what you want for heavy metals, nitrates and dissolved chemical contamination. But the membrane cannot tell the difference between a contaminant and a useful mineral, so calcium and magnesium — which occur naturally in water and contribute to its taste — are rejected alongside everything else. Water that has been through an RO membrane alone is very pure and rather flat-tasting. Mineral Guard technology is Aquaguard's answer: it is designed to retain or restore essential minerals in the purified water rather than delivering it stripped. The practical difference is in taste, which is the thing people actually notice day to day, and it is worth asking about with any RO purifier you compare.
Copper and zinc — what the booster is for
Copper vessels for drinking water are a long-standing practice in Indian households, and a copper booster in a purifier is the modern version of the same idea. Copper and zinc are both trace elements that occur naturally in water and in the diet. The booster stage is designed to add controlled quantities of them back into water that reverse osmosis has stripped, so what reaches your glass is not simply demineralised. Two things worth saying plainly. First, this is about the composition and taste of the water, and we make no health claims for it — a water purifier is a treatment appliance, not a supplement. Second, like every other stage in the machine, the copper zinc cartridge is a consumable with a finite life. It works as designed while it is fresh and stops working when it is exhausted, so it needs replacing on the manufacturer's schedule along with the filters.
Why RO and UV are both there — they solve different problems
These two are usually listed together as if they were one thing, but they work on entirely different contaminants and neither replaces the other. Reverse osmosis pushes water through a membrane with pores small enough to reject dissolved substances — salts, heavy metals and dissolved chemical contamination. It is the only household technology that meaningfully reduces TDS, and it is what you need if the supply carries dissolved solids. Ultraviolet does nothing at all to dissolved chemicals. What it does is pass water under a lamp whose light disrupts the DNA of bacteria, viruses and cysts so they cannot reproduce. Having both means chemical and biological contamination are each handled by the mechanism suited to it, with sediment and carbon stages ahead of them protecting the membrane and taking out chlorine and odour before the water reaches it.

🎯 Suited to
5 litres of storage suits a small to medium household drawing water through the day. At 7.6 kg empty it is one of the lighter purifiers to wall mount, though fixings still need to carry the filled weight.
Multiple treatment stages in sequence, with RO and UV as the two principal ones. The stages ahead of the membrane exist largely to protect it from sediment and chlorine.
Stainless steel in the water path — impermeable, chemically inert and not prone to picking up kitchen odours the way plastic can over time.
A darker finish than the usual white purifier, which sits more discreetly in a modern kitchen than a large white box does.

Aquaguard Enrich Superio · GWPDSPRRS13B1X · RO + UV + SS · 7-Stage Purification · Mineral Guard Technology · Copper Zinc Booster · 5 Litre Storage · 7.6 kg · Black & Metallic Copper · 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty
Warranty as per Eureka Forbes / Aquaguard terms and conditions — 1 year manufacturer warranty excluding physical damage, as stated in supplier material. The scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration, installation requirements and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. Filters, RO membrane, UV lamp, copper zinc cartridge and other consumable and wear items are typically excluded from warranty cover and are chargeable; their replacement together with annual maintenance is a recurring cost the owner should budget for. Warranty cover is generally conditional on installation by an authorised technician and on the appliance being operated within its stated input water conditions; damage arising from unsuitable input water, supply pressure outside the rated range, incorrect installation or unauthorised servicing is commonly excluded. Supplier material for this model is limited. Maximum input TDS, flow rate, storage tank material, operating pressure, input water temperature range, dimensions, installation type, filter life, power consumption, box contents and country of origin are not stated and should be confirmed with us before purchase; maximum input TDS in particular determines whether this model is suitable for a given water supply, and dimensions should be confirmed before planning installation space. The purification stage count, capacity, weight and stated technologies are manufacturer specifications. Reverse osmosis produces reject water as part of normal operation, and the reject line must be routed to a drain at installation. Explanations of reverse osmosis, ultraviolet treatment, mineral retention and copper and zinc addition provided here are general information to aid understanding and are not manufacturer specifications; mineral retention and copper zinc dosing performance are as specified by the manufacturer and depend on cartridge condition. Purification performance depends on input water quality, supply pressure and temperature, filter and membrane condition and adherence to the maintenance schedule; the appliance is intended to treat municipal or comparable water supplies and is not a substitute for a safe water source. This product is a water treatment appliance and not a medical device or a nutritional supplement. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and no health or nutritional outcome is claimed or implied in relation to mineral retention or copper and zinc content. Water quality should be independently verified where there is any doubt about the supply. This appliance must be installed by an authorised technician and connected to a properly earthed mains socket; it must not be operated with wet hands or where the plug or socket may be splashed. Filters, the membrane, the ultraviolet lamp and the copper zinc cartridge must be replaced at the intervals specified by the manufacturer, as exhausted consumables will continue to allow water to be dispensed without providing the stated level of purification. The housing must not be opened and the ultraviolet lamp must not be serviced by the user; ultraviolet light is harmful to eyes and skin and the appliance must be unplugged before any service. The appliance must not be run without an input water supply. Wall mounting requires fixings rated for the filled weight. Operation should be discontinued and service arranged if leakage, unusual taste or odour, electrical tripping or abnormal operation occurs.
