ppmwhy this number decides everything

If you take one figure from this page, take this one. Every RO purifier has a maximum input TDS it is rated to handle, and it is the specification that determines whether a machine will work in your home or struggle for a year and then need replacing. TDS — total dissolved solids — is the measure of everything dissolved in your water, and it varies enormously across Delhi NCR depending on whether you are on municipal supply, a borewell, or tanker deliveries that change from week to week. Many purifiers are rated to around 1000 or 1500 ppm, which is fine on treated municipal water and inadequate on hard borewell supply. The Neo is rated to 2000 ppm. That is what puts borewell, tanker and mixed supply inside its working range rather than at the limit of it, and it is the reason this model suits households whose water source is not consistent. If you do not know your TDS, we can advise on having it measured before you buy.

⚙️

The zero pressure pump — the fix for a flat that never has pressure

Reverse osmosis works by forcing water through a membrane, which means it needs pressure behind it. Without enough, the purifier either produces water very slowly or simply does not runand this is the single most common disappointment with RO purifiers in apartments, particularly on upper floors or where the supply comes from an overhead tank only a floor or two above. The usual remedy is an external booster pump: another box, another plug point, another thing that fails. The Neo has the pump built in and works from 0.3 kg/cm², which is very low pressure indeed. In practice that means the machine keeps producing purified water in conditions where an unpumped purifier would stand idle, and it removes the need to buy and site a separate booster. For a top-floor flat in Delhi NCR this is usually the deciding feature rather than a nice extra.

🟠

Active Copper — controlled infusion, to BIS norms

Storing drinking water in copper vessels is a long-established practice in Indian households, and copper infusion in a purifier is the engineered version of the same idea. The important word in the specification is controlled. Copper is a trace element, and the sensible approach is a measured quantity rather than as much as possiblewhich is what the BIS compliance in this specification refers to: the infusion is calibrated to stay within the permitted limit rather than being left to chance. Two things worth stating plainly. We make no health claims for copper-infused water; this is a water treatment appliance, not a supplement, and it is not intended to prevent or treat anything. And the copper stage, like every other stage, is a consumable that works as designed while fresh and stops working when exhausted, so it needs replacing on the manufacturer's schedule.

😋

Taste Adjuster — because pure water and good water are not the same thing

Reverse osmosis has one honest drawback: the membrane rejects dissolved substances indiscriminately, so the calcium and magnesium that give water its taste go out along with the contaminants. Water straight off an RO membrane is very pure and noticeably flat — people describe it as tasting of nothing, and in households that were used to a particular local supply it is often the first complaint after installation. The Taste Adjuster, sometimes labelled MTDS, lets the mineral content of the output be set rather than left at whatever the membrane produces. That matters most where the input water changes: a home on tanker supply may get quite different water week to week, and the adjuster is what keeps the glass tasting the same. It is set at installation by the technician, and can be readjusted later if your supply changes.

🔔 Alerts the machine gives you

🔧 Filter change reminder 🛢️ Tank full indicator 📅 Service due alert ⚠️ Electronic error notification

The filter and service alerts are the ones that matter. An exhausted filter or a failed UV lamp keeps dispensing water that looks and tastes entirely normal while no longer purifying it properly — which is a failure you cannot see, so the alert is what makes it visible.

🎯 Suited to

Borewell & Tanker Supply Low Water Pressure Upper-Floor Flats High-TDS Areas Inconsistent Supply Small To Medium Families

This is the model for households whose water is a problem — high TDS, weak pressure, or a source that changes. On steady, low-TDS municipal supply a simpler purifier will do the job for less. Tell us your source and we will say which one you actually need.

💧 8-Stage RO + UV

RO handles dissolved chemical contamination; UV handles bacteria and viruses through a separate mechanism. Sediment and carbon stages ahead of them protect the membrane.

🪶 5 kg, Wall Mounted

Light for a purifier with a pump built in, and compact at 32 × 27.5 × 47.6 cm — it fits above a counter without dominating the kitchen.

🎁 Free Service Plan

A service plan worth ₹2,500 is included, alongside free installation by an authorised technician. Confirm the plan's coverage and duration with us in writing.

⚠️ A mains appliance connected to your water supply, with a pump and a UV lamp inside. Please read this. 1. Have it installed by an authorised Aquaguard technician — installation is included. Correct connection, routing the reject line to a drain, and setting the Taste Adjuster for your supply are all part of it, and incorrect installation can void the warranty. 2. Connect to a properly earthed socket. Do not use an extension lead, and keep the plug and socket away from splashing. 3. Do not touch the plug or controls with wet hands. 4. Change filters, the RO membrane, the UV lamp and the copper cartridge on schedule. This is the most important point here: exhausted consumables allow water to keep flowing that looks and tastes normal but is no longer being purified properly. Act on the alert rather than waiting for a visible problem. 5. The 2000 ppm rating is a maximum, not a guarantee for any supply. If your water is unusually hard, has an unusual smell, or comes from an untested source, have it checked rather than assuming. 6. Do not use the purifier on visibly contaminated water or after a supply disruption without having it checked. 7. Never open the housing or attempt to service the UV lamp yourself — ultraviolet light is harmful to eyes and skin, and the unit must be unplugged before any service. 8. Do not run it without an input water supply; the pump should not be run dry. 9. Mount securely — 5 kg empty is considerably heavier once the tank is full, and fixings must be rated for it. 10. If you notice leaking, unusual taste or smell, electrical tripping, or the unit failing to dispense normally, switch it off at the socket and call for service.

Warranty as per Eureka Forbes / Aquaguard terms and conditions — 1 year comprehensive as stated in supplier material, together with a free service plan stated in supplier material as worth ₹2,500. The scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration, installation requirements and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. The duration and coverage of the free service plan are not detailed in supplier material and should be confirmed in writing before purchase; the stated value of ₹2,500 is as claimed by the brand. Filters, RO membrane, UV lamp, copper cartridge and other consumable and wear items are typically excluded from comprehensive cover and are chargeable beyond any included service plan; their replacement together with annual maintenance is a recurring cost the owner should budget for. Warranty cover is generally conditional on installation by an authorised technician and on the appliance being operated within its stated input water conditions; damage arising from unsuitable input water, supply pressure outside the rated range, incorrect installation or unauthorised servicing is commonly excluded. Purification stages, maximum input TDS, operating pressure range, flow rate, capacity, dimensions and weight are manufacturer specifications measured under their own test conditions. The stated maximum input TDS of 2000 ppm and maximum flow rate of 15 litres per hour are limits rather than typical operating figures; actual output varies with input water pressure, temperature, TDS, membrane condition and filter age, and suitability for any particular supply should be confirmed by testing that supply. Filter life, service plan duration and coverage, storage tank material, power consumption, input water temperature range and country of origin are not stated in supplier material and should be confirmed before purchase. Reverse osmosis produces reject water as part of normal operation, and the reject line must be routed to a drain at installation. Explanations of total dissolved solids, pump-assisted operation, copper infusion and mineral or taste adjustment provided here are general information to aid understanding and are not manufacturer specifications. Copper infusion is stated by the manufacturer to be controlled and compliant with BIS norms; performance depends on cartridge condition and adherence to the replacement schedule. Purification performance depends on input water quality, supply pressure and temperature, filter and membrane condition and adherence to the maintenance schedule; the appliance is not a substitute for a safe water source. This product is a water treatment appliance and not a medical device or a nutritional supplement. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and no health or nutritional outcome is claimed or implied in relation to copper content, mineral content or purified water generally. Water quality should be independently verified where there is any doubt about the supply. This appliance must be installed by an authorised technician and connected to a properly earthed mains socket; it must not be operated with wet hands or where the plug or socket may be splashed. Filters, the membrane, the ultraviolet lamp and the copper cartridge must be replaced at the intervals specified by the manufacturer, as exhausted consumables will continue to allow water to be dispensed without providing the stated level of purification. The housing must not be opened and the ultraviolet lamp must not be serviced by the user; ultraviolet light is harmful to eyes and skin and the appliance must be unplugged before any service. The appliance must not be run without an input water supply. Wall mounting requires fixings rated for the filled weight. Operation should be discontinued and service arranged if leakage, unusual taste or odour, electrical tripping or abnormal operation occurs.
