airflowwhy a cassette beats a wall split
This is the whole reason a cassette exists, and it's worth understanding before comparing it to a cheaper wall unit. A wall-mounted split blows in one direction from one end of the room. In a shop or a conference room that means the people sitting near it are too cold and the far corner never gets comfortable — and you end up dropping the thermostat to fix the far end, freezing everyone near the unit. A ceiling cassette sits in the middle and throws air out on all four sides at once, so the room cools evenly, from above, with no one sitting in the blast. For any room wider than it is deep, or with people spread across it, that's not a luxury — it's the only arrangement that works.
Three-phase 400 V — please check this before you order
This is the single most important thing on this page, and it's not a feature — it's a requirement. This machine runs on 400 V three-phase power, not the ordinary single-phase 230 V supply in most homes and small shops. If your premises has only a single-phase connection, this unit cannot be installed — no adaptor or stabiliser changes that. Three-phase is common in commercial premises, showrooms, offices and larger buildings, and can usually be applied for from your discom, but it takes time and costs money. Before ordering, check your meter or ask your electrician whether you have a three-phase connection — and call us if you're unsure. We would much rather have that conversation now than after delivery.
Self Clean — the feature that stops a ceiling unit from smelling
Every AC pulls moisture out of the air, and that water condenses on the indoor coil. When the unit switches off, a damp coil sitting in a warm dark ceiling void is exactly where mould and bacteria grow — which is why an older AC gives that musty smell in the first minute after switch-on. Self Clean runs the fan on after the compressor stops, drying the coil before the unit shuts down fully. On a cassette this matters more than on a wall split for one practical reason: the unit is in the ceiling, so you can't easily see it, reach it or notice a problem starting. Keeping the coil dry is the maintenance you'd otherwise have to pay a technician to do.
✨ Control and comfort
The sensor in the remote is a genuinely useful touch in a large room — the unit reads the temperature where you're sitting, not up at ceiling level where the air is always warmer.
🎯 Right for
Requires a false ceiling with adequate depth, a three-phase supply and proper drainage. We'll do a site check before you commit.
⚙️ Build
Gold fin coating is a step up from standard blue fin — worth having on a unit whose coils sit in a ceiling void where humidity collects and nobody inspects them.
In a showroom, wall space is display space. A cassette takes none of it and disappears into the ceiling line.
Fault codes on screen — which matters doubly on a ceiling unit, where a technician can't just open it up and look.
Serious dehumidification for a crowded room — and a reason drainage must be planned properly, not improvised.
Ceiling opening, drainage fall, three-phase wiring and panel alignment. Get it surveyed before purchase, not after.

Warranty as per Blue Star's terms and conditions — 1 year on product, subject to T&C; the scope of cover, compressor terms, gas top-up, exclusions, installation requirements, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. This unit requires a 400 V three-phase electrical supply; a single-phase connection is not suitable. Cassette installation requires a false ceiling of adequate depth, correct drainage fall or a condensate pump, suitable electrical provision and site readiness. Installation, ceiling cutting and finishing, panel fitting, copper piping, extra piping, drainage pipe or pump, outdoor stand, core cutting, scaffolding, gas charging, electrical wiring, MCB, stabiliser, dismantling and civil work are chargeable separately unless expressly included on the final invoice. Cooling performance, recommended area, cooling capacity, ISEER, annual consumption, airflow, moisture removal, noise levels, high-ambient performance and running cost vary with room size and shape, ceiling height and void depth, insulation, sunlight exposure, occupancy, equipment and lighting load, installation quality, pipe length, gas pressure, filter condition, selected mode, thermostat setting, voltage and maintenance. The 52°C figure refers to the maximum ambient operating condition stated by the brand under its test conditions and is not a guarantee of rated cooling output at that temperature. BEE star ratings, ISEER and annual unit figures are as certified at the time of manufacture under standard test conditions and are subject to periodic revision. R-32 refrigerant handling and servicing must be carried out only by qualified technicians.
