Most ACs sold here are specified for a climate, not for our air. This one takes the air seriously. A PM2.5 filter is built into the indoor unit — not an add-on, not an accessory — so every hour the machine runs, it is also filtering fine particulate out of the room. Two things make that genuinely useful in Delhi. First, our worst air quality arrives in winter, not summer — and the unit can run in fan mode through those months, filtering without cooling. Second, it works on a room you're already sealing and recirculating, which is exactly the condition a filter performs best in. It is not a substitute for a proper air purifier, and we won't pretend otherwise — but on a machine you were buying anyway, it's real value.
Ten years and five years — the numbers to compare against any rival
Two components decide whether an AC is a ten-year purchase or a five-year one. The compressor is the expensive heart of the machine. The PCB — the control board — is the part that fails quietly in an inverter AC and is costly to replace, and it's the component most brands cover least. Copper is the specification to insist on: better heat transfer, far slower corrosion than aluminium, and — the practical part — a copper leak can be brazed on site, where an aluminium coil usually gets replaced entirely.
