The reason a busy shop buys the biggest cabinet it can fit is not storage — it's staff time. A cooler that runs empty by mid-afternoon has to be restocked during trading hours, which means someone leaves the counter, the door stands open while trays go in, the cabinet warms up, and the newly loaded stock takes hours to come down to temperature. Meanwhile the customer who wanted a cold bottle at 4 pm gets a lukewarm one. 500 litres across five shelves is enough to load once and sell through the day. No-frost — the difference between a working cooler and a monthly job
An ordinary cooler builds frost on its coil every time the door opens, and in a shop that's hundreds of times a day. Left alone, that ice insulates the coil, weakens cooling and pushes up your electricity. So every few weeks you have to switch it off, move 500 litres of stock somewhere cold, wait hours for the ice to melt, wipe it out and restart. 216 cm tall — measure your ceiling and your doorway first
This is the one thing to check before you order, and it catches people out. At 216 cm this cabinet is taller than a standard door frame, and once you allow clearance above it for heat to escape, you need a ceiling comfortably over seven feet at the spot where it will stand. Two measurements to take: the height at the position it's going, and the route in — doorway, passage, any turn, and the lift if it's not at ground level. Also check the floor is level; a tall narrow cabinet on uneven ground doesn't seal its door properly.
