This is the number that justifies the step up, and it's an unusual one to find on a window AC. Almost everything else on an air conditioner is repairable at sensible cost — a fan motor, a PCB, a sensor, a remote. The compressor is not. When it fails outside warranty, the repair bill on a window unit is high enough that most people simply replace the whole machine. Ten years of compressor cover changes that arithmetic completely — and it's double the five years carried by the other window ACs in this range. When you're comparing two window ACs at similar money, that figure is the one to put side by side, because it decides whether you're buying once or twice.
52°C ambient — and why it matters more on a window AC than a split
Every air conditioner has an outdoor temperature above which it stops cooling properly, and this specification is worth checking on any machine sold in Delhi. A unit rated to 45° or 47° will disappoint you on exactly the afternoons you bought it for. On a window AC the point is sharper still: the whole machine sits in the opening, so the heat-rejecting half is pressed against the outside wall taking direct afternoon sun — often in a hotter, stiller pocket of air than a split's outdoor unit on a balcony. A 52°C rating gives the headroom to keep cooling in that position through a Delhi May. If your window faces west or south, this is the specification that decides whether the room is comfortable at 4 pm.
5-in-1 convertible — five capacities, and the one feature people forget they have
A fixed 1.5-ton AC runs at 1.5 ton whether the room holds one person or five. Convertible cooling lets you choose among five capacity settings — run it low through a mild September afternoon when it's just you working, and step it up to full when the room fills or the day turns brutal. At lower capacity the compressor draws less, runs quieter and cycles less hard, and across a season of mostly-one-person afternoons that adds up. But it only helps if somebody actually presses the button, and in our experience most customers never do. The night-glow LCD remote sounds like a small thing until you're changing the temperature at 3 am — and Comfort Sleep raises the set point by 1°C to match the natural fall in night temperature.

At 46.4 kg this is the heaviest window unit in the range — the sill and frame must carry it securely, and it's 733 mm deep, so check projection outside the window too.
Real dehumidification for the monsoon — a dry room at 26°C beats a clammy one at 22°C, and dropping the thermostat is usually the wrong fix.
A wide inverter range means it can idle gently once the room is cool rather than cycling the compressor hard on and off.
