firstmeasure before you buy
This is a built-in appliance, and that single fact should shape the whole purchase. It does not stand on a counter — it slides into a cabinet opening, and the opening has to be right before the microwave arrives. You need a niche of 380–382 mm high, 560–568 mm wide and 550 mm deep. If your kitchen is already built, measure the intended cabinet now; if it's being made, give these figures to your carpenter or kitchen fitter before the units are cut. The ventilation is designed to run through the bottom, which is why no extra clearance gap is needed above or at the sides — but that also means the bottom must not be obstructed. Pop-out controls — the detail you notice every day
On most microwaves the knobs stick out permanently, and in a kitchen that has two consequences. Visually they break the flat run of a modular kitchen front, so the appliance reads as a machine bolted into the cabinetry rather than part of it. Practically, the gap around a fixed knob is exactly where grease and atta collect — and it's fiddly to clean properly. Here the rotary knobs push in flush with the glass when you're not using them. Press once, they pop out; turn to set; press back in. The front becomes a single flat black glass surface you wipe in one pass — which, in a kitchen used three times a day, is the kind of small design decision you appreciate for years.
Quartz grill — and the stainless cavity that makes cleaning after it bearable
A microwave alone reheats but leaves everything soft. The quartz grill adds direct radiant heat from above, which is what browns and crisps — so paneer tikka, kebabs, grilled vegetables, toasted sandwiches come out with colour and texture instead of steamed. Combination mode runs the microwave and grill together, cooking through while browning the surface.
