filterthe job you'll never do again
Ask anyone who has owned a chimney what they hate about it, and the answer is the filter. A baffle or mesh filter has to come out every few weeks, get soaked in hot water and detergent, scrubbed, dried and refitted — and when it doesn't get done, the chimney quietly stops pulling. This one has no filter at all. The centrifugal system spins incoming air so oil is thrown outward and drains into a small detachable cup, which you unclip and empty. The heat auto clean cycle then melts grease off the internal surfaces in under 10 minutes, and a reminder prompts you every 30 hours of cooking. It doesn't eliminate maintenance — but it turns an hour of scrubbing into emptying a cup and pressing a button.
Gesture control — the feature that makes sense in a real kitchen
Gesture control sounds like a gimmick until you think about when you actually reach for a chimney. Your hands are covered in atta, oil or haldi, the tadka has just gone into the pan, and the last thing you want is to press a control panel and then have to clean it. A wave of the hand starts it and another switches it off — no contact, no smeared panel, nothing to wipe afterwards. The touch panel is still there for setting speeds and lighting deliberately. The combination is the right one: gesture for the moments your hands are dirty, touch for when you're setting things up. Worth asking for a demonstration in the showroom before you buy — it's the feature people are most sceptical about and most convinced by.
1300 m³/hr — and why the ducting matters as much as the number
Suction is the headline figure on every chimney, but it's a laboratory number, and what you get in your kitchen depends on the installation. Every bend in the duct, every extra metre of pipe, and any narrowing at the outlet costs you airflow. A 1300 m³/hr chimney on a long, kinked duct can pull less than a smaller one ducted properly. So three things to get right: keep the duct run as short and straight as possible, use the full pipe diameter without reducers where you can, and make sure it vents properly outside rather than into a false ceiling or a shaft with no exit. Tell us where your chimney will sit and where the outlet is, and we'll tell you honestly what to expect.
🍳 Three modes, three kinds of cooking
Boiling · Speed 1
Tea, milk, soups — gentle draw
Cooking · Speed 2
Everyday sabzi and dal
Frying · Speed 3
Tadka, deep frying, spices
Running speed 1 for everyday cooking rather than full power is quieter and draws less — save speed 3 for the ten minutes that actually need it.
🎯 Right for
Match the chimney to your hob: a 60 cm chimney suits a hob up to 60 cm. If you have a 90 cm hob, ask us about the 90 cm chimney instead — a narrow chimney over a wide hob leaves the outer burners uncovered.
⚙️ Build
This is a ducted chimney — it vents cooking air outside rather than recirculating it, which is what actually removes heat, steam and smell from the room.
The reminder is what makes auto clean work in practice — a maintenance job nobody is prompted to do is a maintenance job nobody does.
Two 4000 K lamps over the hob, adjustable — bright while you cook, low when the kitchen is just a room in the evening.
Unclips and empties. Do it regularly — a full cup is the commonest cause of drips and smell on a filterless chimney.
Wipes clean in one pass and lines up with the Bosch built-in hob and oven family if you're fitting a matched kitchen.

Bosch DWB68IJ60I · 60 cm Glass Kitchen Chimney · 1300 m³/hr · Filterless · Heat Auto Clean · Touch & Gesture · 3 Modes · Dimmable LED · Black Glass · 2-Year Warranty
Warranty as per Bosch India's terms and conditions — 2 years on the product, subject to T&C; the scope of cover including motor, PCB, control panel, gesture and touch sensors, auto-clean heater, LED lamps, glass and body, oil collector and ducting, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. Suction capacity is stated per IS 374 test conditions; actual smoke and odour removal, grease collection, auto-clean effectiveness, gesture and touch response, LED output, noise level and power consumption depend on kitchen size and layout, cooking intensity, duct diameter, duct length and number of bends, external venting arrangement, mounting height above the hob, installation quality, voltage, oil collector cleaning and maintenance. Auto clean reduces manual cleaning effort but does not eliminate routine cleaning and maintenance. This is a ducted chimney and requires a suitable route to vent outside; it is not designed for recirculating installation. Mounting height above the cooking surface must follow the manufacturer's installation manual. Ducting, duct pipe beyond supplied length, clamps, reducer, core cutting, wall drilling, civil work, electrical work, socket or MCB provision, scaffolding, granite or woodwork modification, dismantling an existing chimney and any non-standard installation work are chargeable separately unless expressly included on the final invoice. Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.
