On a washing machine the motor is the component that decides the machine's life, and it's the expensive one to replace. Twelve years of cover on it is longer than most households keep a washing machine at all — and no manufacturer offers that on a motor they expect to fail. The EcoSilence Drive is a brushless design, which is the reason it can be warranted that long: conventional motors use carbon brushes that physically wear against the rotor and eventually need replacing, and that friction is also where much of the noise comes from. No brushes means less to wear out and a quieter machine. Add three years on the product itself, and the warranty position here is stronger than almost anything at this price.
The built-in heater — the feature that decides whether a front-loader actually cleans
This is worth understanding because it separates a real front-loader from a cheap one. Detergent chemistry needs warmth to work properly: oil, grease and body soil in collars and cuffs don't dissolve well in cold Delhi tap water, particularly in winter when the supply runs genuinely cold. A machine without a heater can only wash at whatever temperature comes out of the tap. A built-in heater lets the machine warm the water itself to the temperature the programme needs — so a hot wash is a hot wash, in December as much as in June, and independent of whether your geyser is on. It's also what makes the hygiene and steam programmes possible at all. Always follow the garment care label on temperature.
1400 RPM — the spin speed is really a drying-time specification
People compare spin speeds as though they're about washing. They're about what happens afterwards. The faster the final spin, the more water is thrown out of the fabric before the load ever leaves the drum — and removing water mechanically costs almost nothing, while removing it with heat or with time on a line costs a great deal of both. At 1400 RPM clothes come out noticeably drier than from a 1000 or 1200 RPM machine. On a washing line that means hours saved; in a monsoon week, when nothing dries, it can be the difference between usable and still damp. If you also own a dryer, a hard spin cuts the dryer cycle and the electricity it uses. Use lower spin speeds for delicates, as the care label directs.

Wash results, cycle duration, spin performance, residual moisture and energy and water consumption vary with fabric type, load size and composition, soil level, detergent type and dosage, water hardness, inlet water temperature and pressure, selected programme and options, installation quality, levelling and maintenance; the stated 1400 RPM figure is the maximum spin speed and is not available on every programme, and lower speeds should be used where the garment care label requires. The BEE star rating is as certified at the time of manufacture and is subject to periodic revision; stated energy figures are measured on a reference programme under standard test conditions and are not a guarantee of actual consumption. Steam, hygiene and anti-crease programmes reduce but do not eliminate creasing or the need for ironing, and do not guarantee removal of every stain; always observe garment care labels, as damage to unsuitable items is not covered. The appliance requires a water inlet connection, a drain connection and a properly earthed power point at the installation position, on a level floor with clearance for the door to open fully.
