CFMthe large-room problem
In a small bedroom almost any AC works, because the air has nowhere to go. In a 250 sq ft living room or a master bedroom, capacity stops being the whole story and airflow starts to matter — you can have enough cooling power and still have a sofa in the far corner that never gets comfortable while the seat under the unit is too cold. Two things address that here. 700 CFM is the volume of air actually moved, which is what carries cool air to the end of a long room rather than dropping it just below the unit. And 4-way swing moves the louvres left-and-right as well as up-and-down, so the air is spread across the room's width instead of being thrown down one line. That combination is the reason to choose this over simply buying more tonnage.
Hydrophilic blue coating — the extra layer on the coil
Copper resists corrosion better than aluminium, but nothing survives Delhi's outdoor air untreated for a decade. The outdoor coil sits in polluted, humid air, and in monsoon it's wet for weeks at a time — which is when corrosion starts and when dust bonds to a damp fin surface and stops it shedding heat. A hydrophilic blue coating does two jobs: it adds an anti-corrosion layer over the fins, and it makes water sheet off the surface rather than beading and sitting on it. Drier fins corrode more slowly and stay cleaner. On a machine you expect to run for ten summers on a terrace or an outside wall, a coated coil is a real durability specification rather than a cosmetic one — and it's worth asking whether a competing model has any coating at all.
ISEER 4.35, 1068 kWh a year — and why the number matters more on a 2 ton
A 2-ton machine draws more than a 1.5-ton one, so on a large AC the efficiency figure carries more money with it. This one states both numbers: ISEER 4.35, and 1068 kWh of annual consumption on the standard test cycle. A stated unit figure is the useful one, because it converts directly at whatever your own tariff slab is — you can work out your own cost rather than trusting an adjective. FlexiCool is what lets you keep that figure down in practice: a 2-ton machine sized for a full living room in May doesn't need full capacity for two people on a mild evening, and running a lower convertible mode is the difference between owning a large AC and paying for one all year.
