The most important thing to know before you buy: this stove has one medium and one small burner. There is no large burner. We put that at the top because most two-burner stoves are sold as one large plus one small, and the difference decides whether this suits your kitchen. A medium and a small burner are well matched to everyday cooking for one, two or three people — dal, sabzi, tea, eggs, a tawa, a small pressure cooker, tadka. What they are not built for is a heavy kadhai of something for eight people, a large pressure cooker, or the kind of high-flame bhuna-ing that wants a big burner throwing heat across a wide base. Ask that question honestly about your own cooking. If you regularly cook in large vessels, tell us and we'll show you a stove with a large burner instead — we'd rather sell you the right one than have you working around the wrong one for five years.
68 cm across — why the width is the real feature
Most two-burner stoves are around 50 to 60 cm wide, and the burners sit close enough that two decent-sized vessels foul each other. You end up cooking with one pan pushed off-centre, or handles overlapping, or lifting one off to get at the other. At 68 cm this one gives you genuine separation. Two pans go on properly, both handles turn out to the sides, and you can stand in front of it without reaching across a live flame to stir the other one. That is a small thing that you notice every single day. Measure your counter before ordering — 68 cm is wider than the two-burner you may be replacing, and it needs a flat, stable run of counter with clearance from the wall behind and anything flammable to the sides.
Brass burners and toughened glass — what each is actually worth
Brass burners matter for a practical reason rather than a prestige one: they hold heat well and they take repeated cleaning without corroding the way cheaper alloy burners do. On a stove that gets dal boiled over on it twice a week, that is the difference between a burner that still lights evenly in year four and one that doesn't. Brass does discolour with use — that's normal and not a fault. The toughened glass top is genuinely easier to wipe than a steel top, which is the honest reason most people choose glass. But toughened does not mean unbreakable: glass tops fail from impact and from thermal shock, so never put a heavy vessel down hard on it and never splash cold water onto hot glass. Treated sensibly it lasts years; treated carelessly it can crack in one moment.

Warranty as per Crompton's terms and conditions — 2 years on functional defects; the scope of cover, treatment of the glass top, burners, pan supports, knobs and the auto-ignition system, parts and labour, exclusions, registration requirements and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. Glass breakage and damage arising from impact, thermal shock, misuse or improper cleaning is generally not covered. This is an LPG gas appliance and must be installed and connected by a qualified technician using a compatible regulator and an ISI-marked gas hose; the hose must be inspected regularly and replaced at the interval marked on it. Gas hose, regulator, nozzle kit, nozzle conversion for alternative gas supply, installation labour, counter modification and any civil work are chargeable separately unless expressly included on the final invoice. The appliance must be used only in a well-ventilated kitchen, must never be used for space heating, and the cylinder valve should be closed after use. Leak testing must be carried out with soap solution and never with a flame. Do not use oversized or excessively heavy vessels, particularly on the smaller burner. Flame output, gas consumption, cooking times, ignition reliability and burner life depend on LPG quality and pressure, regulator condition, burner and port cleanliness, cookware size and material, ambient conditions, user technique and maintenance; brass burners will discolour with normal use, which is not a defect. Toughened glass is heat-resistant but breakable; avoid impact, dragging cookware, thermal shock and abrasive cleaners. Please confirm counter dimensions and clearance before ordering, as this is a wide-body model.
