Dew Clean Technology — what it actually does
Dew Clean is Daikin's name for an automatic indoor coil cleaning cycle. The AC runs the indoor fan at low speed while briefly raising coil temperature, causing condensation to form and then evaporate — carrying away dust and microbial buildup. It's not a substitute for professional deep cleaning (which involves chemical flushing of both coils), but it extends the interval between service calls from 3–4 months to 6–8 months in Delhi NCR conditions. It does NOT clean the outdoor unit, the drain pipe, or the air filter. You'll still need to wash the filter every 2 weeks and schedule annual professional maintenance. Think of Dew Clean as "brush your teeth daily" — professional service is still the "dentist visit."
22-metre air throw — 72 feet of cooled air reach. Most 1.5-ton ACs throw 10–15 metres. At 22 metres, this Daikin can cool a 20×12 ft living room from a single wall-mounted position without needing supplementary fans. The long throw comes from a larger indoor fan and optimised ducting — it also means the air velocity at the outlet is higher, so avoid sitting directly in the blast path. The 3D airflow (horizontal + vertical auto-swing) distributes this long throw across the room's width and height, preventing the "cold near the AC, hot in the corner" problem common in large rooms with standard units.
Automatic horizontal and vertical swing distributes cool air in three dimensions. Horizontal swing covers left-to-right (typically 90–120°). Vertical swing covers up-to-down (typically 60–90°). Together they create a "3D" pattern that reaches floor level, ceiling corners, and behind furniture. In a large room, this matters more than in a small bedroom — without it, you'd need to manually adjust louvres every hour.
