Most air conditioners that claim purification simply add a filter — they catch particles and hold them until the filter clogs. Daikin's patented Streamer Discharge technology works differently: it emits high-speed electrons that break down viruses, bacteria and allergens at a molecular level rather than storing them. It also acts on PM 1.0 — particles ten times smaller than the PM 10 most purifiers are rated against, and small enough to pass deep into the lungs. In a city where indoor air quality is a genuine health question for much of the year, an AC that is also doing this work while it cools is a meaningful thing to own, not a marketing line.
ISEER 5.2 — why not all 5 Star ACs cost the same to run
The star rating is a band, not a number, and two 5 Star ACs can differ considerably within it. The figure that actually matters is ISEER, and the threshold for 5 Star is 4.5.
