Manual
by designthe point of this machine
An automatic machine makes the decisions for you. This one hands them back. You choose the coffee, you decide how finely it's ground, you set the dose, you tamp it yourself, and you decide when to stop the shot. Every one of those changes what comes out of the cup — and on an automatic machine, none of them are yours. That is either exactly what you want or exactly what you don't, and it is worth being honest about which. If you enjoy the process, a manual machine at 15 bar gives you a level of control no automatic can, and you will get better at it over months rather than being stuck with whatever the machine decides on day one. If you want a button pressed and coffee to appear, this is the wrong machine and we will tell you so. The reusable filter also means no capsules, no pods and no ongoing cost beyond the coffee itself.
A real steam wand — and why that matters if you care about milk
Automatic frothers are convenient and they produce perfectly decent foam, but they cannot do one thing: they cannot give you milk you can pour latte art with. That requires microfoam — milk textured to the consistency of wet paint, glossy rather than bubbly — and it only comes from steaming milk yourself, with a wand, listening to it and moving the jug. The MyLatteArt wand on this machine is a manual wand built for that job. Be realistic: it takes practice. Your first several jugs will be too bubbly or too hot, and that is normal for everybody. But it is a learnable skill, and once you have it you can make a flat white at home that genuinely matches a good café — which an automatic frother, however good, will never quite do. Buy a small stainless jug and a cheap milk thermometer to start with; they make the learning much faster.
Cold brew in minutes, not overnight
Traditional cold brew is made by steeping coarse coffee in cold water for twelve to twenty-four hours, which is why almost nobody makes it at home on a weekday. You have to decide today that you want coffee tomorrow. This machine produces a cold-extracted coffee in a matter of minutes instead, by drawing water through the grounds cold rather than hot. The result is the thing people actually want from cold brew — smoother and less sharp than iced espresso, because hot water pulls out acidity and bitterness that cold water largely leaves behind. For a Delhi summer that is a genuinely useful function rather than a novelty: iced coffee on demand, made from whatever coffee you already have, without planning ahead. Use a coarser grind for cold extraction than you would for espresso, and pour it over plenty of ice.
🎯 Right for
Not right for someone who wants one button and no involvement. A manual machine rewards attention and punishes rushing — if the household wants coffee without a process, ask us about bean-to-cup instead and we'll happily point you there.
Backlit touch operation rather than a row of mechanical buttons — modern to use, and it keeps the front panel clean on a machine this slim.
Dual dispensing means two cups pulled together rather than one after the other. Genuinely useful when there are two of you every morning.
Under 20 cm across and 4.37 kg, in metal rather than plastic. Fits counters where a full-size espresso machine simply won't.
Adjustable height, so a tall glass for an iced coffee fits under the spouts rather than needing to be filled separately.

Warranty as per De'Longhi India's terms and conditions. Supplier material for this model does not state a warranty period; the duration, scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand or importer policy and the final invoice or warranty card, and must be confirmed before purchase. Damage arising from scale build-up, failure to descale, use of an incorrect descaling product, use of unsuitable water, immersion of the machine body or unauthorised servicing is commonly excluded; consumable and accessory items including filters, seals, the water tank and drip tray may be excluded or covered for a shorter period. This is a manual espresso machine with a portafilter and reusable filter and does not include a coffee grinder; ground coffee or a separate grinder is required and is not supplied. A tamper and milk jug are not listed among the box contents and should be confirmed before purchase; portafilter size is not stated. Coffee quality, extraction, crema, milk texture and drink temperature depend substantially on the coffee used, its roast level, freshness and grind, the dose and tamp applied, water quality and temperature, cup preheating, machine cleanliness and scale condition, and on user technique; results improve with practice and no particular outcome is guaranteed. Latte art requires practice and is a user skill, not a machine function. Cold brew produced by this machine is a rapid cold-extraction process and differs from traditional long-steep cold brew in method and result. Stated dimensions of 38.7 × 36.7 × 19.7 cm should be used for counter planning; other width figures appearing in supplier marketing material are inconsistent with this and should be disregarded. This appliance produces pressurised hot water and live steam which can cause severe burns: the steam wand remains hot after use, the portafilter must not be removed during extraction, and the machine must be kept out of reach of children during and after operation. Only removable parts may be washed; the machine body must never be immersed and the appliance must be unplugged before cleaning. Regular cleaning of the steam wand and periodic descaling are required and are the user's responsibility; descaling products, filters and servicing are chargeable separately unless expressly included on the final invoice. In hard-water areas the use of filtered or treated water is recommended. The appliance must be used on a flat, stable, heat-tolerant surface and connected to a properly earthed socket.
