Cold Foam That Doesn't Collapse.
Almost No Other Machine Can Do This.

Cold
foamwhy this is genuinely hard
Here is what happens when you make an iced latte on an ordinary automatic machine. The frother steams the milk hot, because that is the only thing it can do — heat is what creates foam in the first place, by expanding air into the milk's proteins. You then pour that hot foam over ice, and it immediately does two things: it melts the ice and waters the drink down, and the foam itself collapses, because the structure was built around heat. What you end up with is a diluted cold coffee with a thin film on top, not a proper iced latte. LatteCrema Cool builds the foam cold instead, texturing chilled milk directly so it holds structure in a cold glass. That is a meaningfully different piece of engineering, not a marketing name — and in a city where it is warm eight months of the year, it is the difference between a machine you use all summer and one that sits idle from March. The same carafe still does hot cappuccino foam normally.
Bean Adapt — dialling in, done for you
On a manual machine, getting the best out of a new bag of beans means adjusting the grind, then the dose, then the temperature, tasting between each change, over several days. Enthusiasts enjoy that; most people never do it at all and simply drink whatever the factory settings produce. Bean Adapt automates the process. You tell the machine what you've loaded — roast level and type — and it sets grind size, water temperature, infusion time and extraction pressure to suit, rather than applying one fixed recipe to every coffee. That matters because a light Ethiopian and a dark Italian blend genuinely want opposite treatment; the light roast needs hotter water and a finer grind to give up its flavour, the dark roast needs less of both or it turns bitter. Be clear on what this is, though: it's an intelligent starting point that saves you the experimenting, not a machine that tastes your coffee. You can still adjust from there, and through the app.
To-Go mode, 16 cm — the detail that decides whether you use it on weekdays
Almost every coffee machine is designed around a cup that stays in the kitchen, and most will not physically fit a travel mug under the spout. So on the mornings you're leaving in a hurry — exactly the mornings you most want the coffee — you either brew into a cup and decant it, spilling half, or skip it. To-Go mode raises the clearance to 16 cm and adjusts the recipe for a larger vessel, so the drink goes straight into the travel mug at the right strength rather than being a normal cup diluted upward. Combined with the Wi-Fi app, which lets you start the machine from another room, the practical result is that your coffee is made and in the mug before you've found your keys. It sounds like a small feature. On a machine costing this much, whether it gets used on a Tuesday or only on a Sunday is the entire question.
🎯 Right for
The cold system is the argument. If you don't drink cold coffee, don't buy this machine. A Magnifica Evo or Magnifica Start gives you fresh grinding, automatic milk and one-touch drinks for a great deal less — we'd rather point you there than sell you a summer feature you won't use.
Start a drink from another room, save a profile per person, get maintenance reminders and firmware updates. Genuinely useful in a shared kitchen.
Larger than most, which suits an office. Worth noting the trade-off: only fill what you'll drink in a week or two, or the beans go stale before you reach them.
Automatic rinse of the milk circuit and brewing unit, descaling reminders, dishwasher-safe carafe. Milk residue is what kills these machines.
With fifty recipes and multiple profiles, the interface is most of the experience. A colour screen with icons beats a two-line text display badly here.
