Description
Three things on this listing don't agree — please confirm with us before ordering
We'd rather show you the problems than quietly pick whichever version reads best. First, the colour: the title says Nickel/Copper, and a line further down says Nickel/Black. Our stock code is BNBC, which is Bright Nickel / Bright Copper, so we believe the title is right — but confirm it with us if the finish matters. Second, the power: the title says 1300 W and the same line says 1200. We're not printing either as fact. Third, and most oddly, the origin: the technical table says India and a line at the bottom of the old page said Malaysia. Those cannot both be true. Call 9710000251 and we'll read the actual carton to you before you commit. The features and settings below are consistent throughout and are reliable.
The Attachment That Hides Flyaways
Works by Bending Air Around a Curve.
Dyson's dryer, and the genuinely clever part nobody explains · a Flyaway attachment that uses the Coanda effect to lift long hairs and tuck short ones underneath, in a single pass · the Dyson digital motor V9 with Air Multiplier producing a high-velocity jet of controlled air · intelligent heat control measuring air temperature over 40 times a second · four heat settings with real numbers — 100°C, 80°C, 60°C and constant cold · three speeds for fast drying, regular drying and styling · a 28°C cold shot to set the style · magnetic attachments that snap on and rotate while hot · plus a Professional Concentrator and Smoothing Nozzle
Coanda
effectreal physics, not marketing
The Flyaway attachment is the most interesting thing on this dryer and almost nobody explains what it actually does. Flyaways are the short, broken or new hairs that stick up out of an otherwise smooth style — you cannot brush them away, and blasting them with a normal dryer makes them worse. This attachment uses something called the Coanda effect, which is a genuine and slightly counter-intuitive property of moving air: a fast jet of air passing along a curved surface will cling to that curve and follow it, rather than continuing in a straight line. The attachment is shaped so the airflow curls around it and creates two separate air streams. One lifts the longer hairs up and out of the way; the other pushes the short flyaway hairs down and tucks them underneath. The long hair then lies back over the top and hides them. It is the same trick a stylist does with a round brush and considerable practice, done in one pass with no brush at all — and it works on the specific problem that makes home blow-dries look like home blow-dries.
Four heat settings — and this one actually tells you the temperatures
Almost every hair dryer sold has heat settings marked "low, medium, high", and none of them tell you what that means in degrees. You are guessing, every single time. This one publishes the numbers: 100°C for fast drying and styling, 80°C for regular drying, 60°C for gentle drying, and a constant cold setting. That matters because it lets you make a real decision rather than a vague one. Fine, coloured or already heat-stressed hair belongs on 60°C, and you will not damage it there even used daily. Thick hair on a weekday morning is a 100°C job. Most people should be on 80°C most of the time and are instead on maximum out of habit. The 40-times-a-second measurement is what keeps the number honest — it checks the actual air temperature continuously and corrects it, rather than setting a target at switch-on and drifting upward as the machine warms through a twenty-minute session.
Magnetic attachments — a small thing that changes the whole session
This sounds like a minor convenience and it genuinely isn't, because of when you need to change attachment. On a conventional dryer the nozzle clips or twists on, and after five minutes of use it is too hot to touch comfortably. So people either burn their fingers, stop and wait, or simply never change attachment at all and dry the whole head with whatever was already fitted. That last one is what actually happens in most homes, and it means the concentrator and smoothing nozzle you paid for stay in the box. Magnetic attachments snap on and pull off in one motion and can be rotated to any angle while the dryer is running. You change them because it costs you nothing to change them. That is the difference between owning three attachments and using three attachments — and on a dryer at this price, using them is rather the point.
🌡️ The settings, in plain numbers
Speed and heat are independent — high speed at low heat dries fast without cooking the hair, which is the combination most people never think to try. Finish every section with the cold shot; hair sets in the shape it cools in.
🎯 Right for
This is a dryer, not a straightener — it dries and shapes with airflow and attachments. If you want straight hair specifically, our Airstrait does that job and this doesn't. Tell us what your morning actually looks like and we'll point you at the right one rather than the dearer one.
A small, fast motor in the handle rather than the head, with airflow amplified into a controlled high-velocity jet — which is why it's balanced differently from a conventional dryer.
Directs airflow at one section at a time without disturbing the rest of the head — the attachment that makes sectioned drying actually work.
Wider, gentler airflow for drying and shaping together, aimed at a natural finish rather than a set one.
A specified temperature, not just "cool". Run it down each finished section to set the shape as the hair cools.

| Colour | ⚠️ Title says Nickel/Copper; body said Nickel/Black. Our stock code BNBC indicates Bright Nickel / Bright Copper — confirm with us. |
| Wattage | ⚠️ Title says 1300 W; the description said 1200. We're not publishing either as fact — please confirm with us. |
| Country of Origin | ⚠️ Technical table says India; a note on the old page said Malaysia. Both cannot be right — we'll read the carton for you. |
| Weight | ⚠️ The listed 2.24 kg with dimensions of 38.2 × 16.7 × 21.9 cm is the packed box, not the dryer. The handheld weight isn't stated — ask us. |
| Warranty | ⚠️ No warranty period is stated anywhere in the supplied material. Dyson India service applies; please have us confirm the term on your invoice before purchase. |
🚨 Colour: title says Nickel/Copper, body said "Nickel/Black". Wattage: title says 1300 W, body said 1200 — in the same sentence as the wrong colour. Origin: technical table says India, footer said "Made in Malaysiya" (also misspelt). And the 2.24 kg listed is clearly the packed box, not the dryer. All four are now flagged rather than guessed at. No warranty period appears anywhere on the page either — that's the third Dyson listing today with no warranty term.
Lead on the Flyaway attachment and the Coanda effect, because it's real physics, it's genuinely clever, and nobody explains it: fast air passing over a curved surface clings to the curve instead of going straight, so the attachment splits the airflow — one stream lifts long hairs, the other tucks the short flyaways underneath. It's what a stylist does with a round brush and years of practice. Second, this dryer publishes its heat settings in actual degrees — 100/80/60/cold — where every competitor says "low, medium, high" and leaves you guessing. Third, magnetic attachments mean you'll actually change them instead of drying the whole head with whatever was already fitted.

Warranty as per Dyson India's terms and conditions. No warranty period is stated in the supplier material for this listing; the applicable term must be confirmed on the final invoice or warranty card before purchase. The scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy. Supplier material for this listing is internally inconsistent in several respects and the following must be confirmed before purchase: the product colour, stated as Nickel/Copper in the title and as Nickel/Black elsewhere in the description; the power rating, stated as 1300 W in the title and as 1200 elsewhere; and the country of origin, stated as India in the technical table and as Malaysia in a separate note. The stated figures of 38.2 × 16.7 × 21.9 cm and 2.24 kg correspond to packed dimensions and packed weight and do not represent the dimensions or handheld weight of the appliance itself, which are not stated. The description refers to five styling attachments but identifies three; the complete list of supplied attachments should be confirmed before purchase. Temperature settings and the temperature measurement frequency quoted are manufacturer specifications for this model. Statements regarding the prevention of extreme heat damage are Dyson's own product claims. Hair condition and styling outcomes depend substantially on hair type, thickness, length, porosity, existing condition, chemical or colour treatment history, product use and technique, and no particular result is claimed or guaranteed. The explanation of the Coanda effect and guidance on heat setting selection, speed and heat combinations, filter maintenance and the setting of style during cooling is general information and not a manufacturer specification. This is a styling appliance and not a hair or scalp treatment; it makes no therapeutic claim. Persons with scalp conditions or chemically processed hair should seek advice from a qualified stylist before use. This appliance produces heated airflow which can cause burns and is used in proximity to water: it must never be used in a bath or shower, over a filled basin, or where it may fall into water; it must not be used with wet hands; the air inlet must be kept clear and the filter cleaned regularly to prevent overheating; attachments become hot in use and remain hot after use; it must be kept out of reach of children and never left running unattended; the cable must be inspected before use and not wrapped tightly around the hot body; and the appliance must be connected to a properly earthed socket and unplugged after use.
