More Air Means Less Heat.
That's the Whole Trick, and Nobody Says It.
The Vinca Blue Nural, and the physics behind every "fast drying without damage" claim in the category · Air Multiplier™ draws in surrounding air and triples the airflow the motor produces · a Hyperdymium™ motor at 1600 W · Scalp Protect using a Time-of-Flight sensor that reads how close the nozzle is and drops the heat accordingly · attachment learning that recognises the fitted tool and reconfigures itself · Pause Detect, an accelerometer that kills the heater when you set it down · three airflow settings and a cold shot · five attachments · 600 g · 2 year warranty
Air, not
heatthe trade-off nobody explains
Every premium dryer promises fast drying without heat damage, and it sounds like marketing until you understand the actual mechanism — which is genuinely simple. Drying hair means getting water to evaporate off it, and there are only two ways to speed that up: make the air hotter, or move more of it. Cheap dryers can only do the first, because a bigger fan costs money and a heating element is nearly free. So they turn up the temperature, and the heat is what damages hair. Air Multiplier attacks the other side: the motor's own jet draws surrounding air along with it and the machine projects roughly three times what the motor alone produces. More air moving across wet hair carries moisture away faster at any given temperature — which means you can drop to a lower heat setting and still finish in the same time. That is the honest version of the whole claim. It isn't magic and it isn't heat-free; it's simply that volume of airflow does work that most dryers make temperature do. Use it the intended way: turn the speed up and the heat down.
"Protects scalp health" — what that does and doesn't mean
This dryer is marketed around scalp care, and the underlying idea is sound, so it's worth stating precisely rather than vaguely. What the machine actually does is measurable and modest: a Time-of-Flight sensor — the class of sensor a phone uses to judge the distance to your face — reads the gap between nozzle and scalp many times a second, and reduces the heat when you come close. That matters because the temperature reaching your skin depends almost entirely on distance, and distance changes constantly as you work around the head. A conventional dryer delivers identical heat at five centimetres and at thirty. So the honest claim is: less heat lands on your scalp during the close-up root drying where most of it lands. That is a real and sensible engineering benefit. What it is not is a treatment. It won't fix dandruff, dryness or an irritated scalp, and if you have a scalp condition it's a doctor's question, not a dryer's. We'd rather sell you the true version.
Vinca Blue and Topaz — the classic against the earthy one
Both Nural colourways are the same machine at the same price, so this is entirely about which one you'd rather look at. Vinca Blue with Topaz is the Dyson signature: a soft periwinkle blue against warm amber-gold, and it is the one most people picture when they think of a Dyson hair tool. Our Ceramic Patina version is the alternative — a muted sage-green with copper, warmer and more earthy, and a more unusual thing to have on a shelf. Blue is the safer choice and reads as unmistakably Dyson, which matters if you're gifting to someone who'll recognise the brand instantly. Patina is the choice if you'd rather it looked like an object than a gadget. One practical note either way: this lives on an open bathroom shelf rather than in a cupboard, so pick the one that suits the room you'll actually keep it in. Come in and see both under real light before deciding.
🧰 The five attachments
Each attachment genuinely wants different settings — the Diffuser needs gentler air than the Concentrator or it ruins the curl pattern. The machine detects which is fitted and adjusts, then learns your preferences for that tool. ⚠️ Note: our Ceramic Patina listing states the Diffuser doesn't support all the intelligent modes. Ask us before ordering if you rely on it.
🎯 Right for
Honest placement: the Nural is the flagship, and the gap to our Supersonic HD08 at ₹23,992 buys the three sensors — nothing else. If you dry on one setting and never change attachment, the HD08 does that job well and we'll say so rather than take the extra ₹17,000. This is a dryer, not a curler or a straightener.
Small and fast, sited in the handle rather than the head — which is why a 1600 W dryer balances at 600 g without your wrist complaining.
An accelerometer notices the dryer has been set down and cuts the heater. Across a session that's several minutes of a heater running into a countertop.
Detects the fitted tool and applies the right profile, then remembers what you actually prefer with it. Nobody re-dials manually; this does it for you.
Hair sets in the shape it cools in. Run cold down each finished section rather than only at the end and the style lasts noticeably longer.

Warranty as per Dyson India's terms and conditions — 2 years as stated in supplier material. The scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. Supplier material across our listings for this model is inconsistent regarding heat settings: this listing states three heat settings, all below 100°C, while another listing for the same model states four heat settings of 100°C, 80°C, 60°C and a 28°C cold shot. The number of heat settings and the maximum air temperature must be confirmed against Dyson documentation before purchase. The stated figure of seven styling combinations is not reconcilable with three heat and three airflow settings and should not be relied upon. Unit dimensions, country of origin, cable length and any storage case are not stated in supplier material for this listing. The 3× airflow figure, sensor descriptions and motor specifications are manufacturer specifications measured under their own test conditions. The explanation of evaporation, airflow volume and temperature is general information provided to aid understanding and is not a manufacturer specification. Scalp protect mode reduces air temperature as the appliance approaches the scalp; it does not render the airflow safe against skin, and the appliance must be kept away from the face, eyes and ears. This product is a styling appliance and not a medical device or a hair or scalp treatment. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and no therapeutic or health outcome is claimed or implied; references to scalp health describe reduced heat exposure only. Persons with scalp conditions, hair loss, or chemically processed hair should consult a qualified medical practitioner or stylist. Hair condition and styling outcomes depend substantially on hair type, thickness, length, porosity, existing condition, chemical or colour treatment history, product use and technique, and no particular result is claimed or guaranteed. Pause detect is a convenience feature and is not a substitute for switching off and unplugging the appliance. Attachment learning adapts to recorded user settings over time and behaviour will vary by usage. Compatibility of individual attachments with each intelligent feature should be confirmed before purchase where material. This appliance produces heated airflow which can cause burns and is used in proximity to water: it must never be used in a bath or shower, over a filled basin, or where it may fall into water; it must not be used with wet hands; the air inlet must be kept clear and the filter cleaned regularly to prevent overheating; attachments become hot in use and remain hot after use; it must be kept out of reach of children and never left running unattended; the cable must be inspected before use and not wrapped tightly around the hot body; and the appliance must be connected to a properly earthed socket and unplugged after use.
