Vacuuming and mopping are two separate jobs done twice over the same floor, and the second one is the chore people put off. The Submarine™ wet roller head replaces it. It carries its own clean water tank and dispenses water evenly across a rotating microfibre roller as you push it, so the roller is always damp rather than wet — enough moisture to lift dried-on marks, not enough to leave standing water on the floor. That matters on marble, vitrified tile and wood, where an over-wet mop leaves streaks and takes an age to dry. Dirty water and debris are lifted off the roller and held separately, so you are not pushing the same dirty water around the room the way a mop and bucket does. The head swaps onto the same machine body as the dry heads, so a normal clean is: vacuum the room with the Fluffy Optic head, click on the Submarine head, wash the same floor. One machine, one battery, no bucket.
Fluffy Optic™ — a blade of light that shows the dust
Fine dust on marble, granite, light tile or pale wood is very nearly invisible from standing height, because it sits flat against a pale surface with almost no contrast. You clean a floor, look at it, and it appears done while a good deal of the dust is still there. The Fluffy Optic head projects a precisely angled blade of green light low across the floor just ahead of the brush bar. Light striking a particle from the side scatters off it, so every speck lights up brightly against the darker floor around it — the same effect as a shaft of sunlight through a curtain revealing dust in the air. Dyson's testing indicates it reveals twice as much dust as cleaning without illumination. Practically, it changes how you clean: you can see which passes worked and which patches still need attention rather than guessing.
Root Cyclone™ — 11 cyclones at up to 100,000 g
This is the part that determines whether suction holds up over the length of a clean. Air carrying dust is spun through eleven cyclones arranged in parallel, generating centrifugal forces of up to 100,000 g. At that force, dust particles are far too heavy to follow the air around the tight curve, so they are flung outwards and drop into the bin while the air continues on. The point of separating dust this way rather than straining it through a mesh is that nothing clogs. A filter that catches dust progressively blocks as it works, and suction falls away as the bin fills. Cyclonic separation removes the great majority of dust before the air ever reaches the filter, which is why suction stays consistent from an empty bin to a full one. The filter is then dealing with only the finest particles rather than everything.
💧 What the wet roller head handles
The wet roller is for sealed hard floors only — marble, granite, vitrified tile and sealed wood. It is not used on carpets, rugs or upholstery; those are cleaned with the dry heads. The roller washes clean with household detergent diluted to the recommended ratio, and the drip tray stores it after use.

Warranty as per Dyson India's / brand terms and conditions — 2 years as stated in supplier material. The scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card.
