A regular kettle does one job. This Glen does breakfast, the evening chai and the midnight Maggi. The 1.5-litre stainless steel body is large enough to boil milk for the household or water for several cups at once, and the 600 W heating with two heat settings lets you switch between a fast rolling boil and a gentler simmer for noodles and milk — so things cook through rather than boil over. Drop in the stainless steel steamer and it turns into an egg boiler that takes six eggs in one go. For a PG room in North Campus, a hostel in Greater Noida or a small office pantry in Gurgaon with no gas stove, that is a full mini-kitchen in one plug point.
Glen Multicooker design — a kettle built to cook, not just boil
The difference is in the controls. A standard electric kettle runs flat out until the water boils and then stops — useless for anything that needs to cook. The 9016 EX gives you two heat settings on a 600 W element, so you can bring water to the boil quickly and then cook instant noodles or heat milk without the violent bubbling that spills over a basic kettle. The stainless steel steamer sits above the water to steam eggs, and auto shut-off switches the unit off for safety. It is a multipurpose electric kettle to boil, steam and cook — exactly what Glen designed it for.
Made for hostels, PGs and working people living on their own
Thousands of students and young professionals across Delhi NCR live in rooms where a gas cylinder simply isn't allowed — college hostels, paying-guest accommodation, shared flats and service apartments. Glen positions this kettle squarely for them: compact enough to fit into most spaces, light at 800 g, and capable of making tea, coffee, instant noodles or boiling milk on demand. Add boiled eggs from the 6-egg tray and you have a protein breakfast before the morning Metro without stepping into a kitchen. Cool-touch handles mean you can lift it safely even straight after boiling.

🛠️ Everything Glen packs in
The egg tray is the quietly useful one — six eggs steamed in one go is breakfast for the whole room, or a week's worth of boiled-egg snacks prepared in a single evening.
Stainless steel is easy to wipe clean, doesn't hold smells from noodles or milk, and handles daily boiling for years. The matching stainless steel steamer keeps eggs above the water for even cooking.
At 19 × 26 × 22.2 cm it is designed to fit into most spaces — a hostel study table, a PG shelf or an office pantry counter — while still holding 1.5 litres for multiple servings.
The second heat level is what makes cooking possible: noodles soften and milk heats through without the rapid boil-over you get from a single-setting kettle.
Auto shut-off and cool-touch handles make it a sensible choice for students and first-time independent living, where nobody is standing over the appliance every minute.
