Description
How an air cooler works — and where it works well
An air cooler is not an air conditioner. It pulls air through wet honeycomb pads, and the water evaporating out of those pads is what cools the air — which also means it adds moisture to the room. In Delhi's dry heat from April to June that works extremely well, and a cooler this size moves a great deal of air for a fraction of an AC's running cost. Once the monsoon arrives and humidity rises, evaporation slows and a cooler becomes noticeably less effective. It also needs an open window or door to work properly — a cooler in a sealed room just makes the room damp. Worth knowing before you buy, not after.
4709 CFM.
That's Roughly Double a Household Cooler.
A genuinely commercial-scale cooler for spaces a domestic unit cannot handle · 4709 CFM of air delivery, around 8,000 cubic metres an hour, which is about twice what a typical 75–90 litre household cooler manages · a 100 litre tank so it runs through a full working day without refilling · an auto fill function that connects to a water supply and keeps the tank topped up on its own · honeycomb pads on three sides with Bacteria Shield treatment · fully collapsible louvers · a double ball bearing motor built for long continuous running · knob controls, adjustable speed, castors for moving it · 12 month comprehensive warranty
CFMthe number that separates this from a home cooler
Air delivery is the single most important specification on a cooler, and it is the one most people never look at. Tank capacity only tells you how long it runs before refilling; air delivery tells you how much cooled air actually reaches the room. 4709 CFM works out to roughly 8,000 cubic metres per hour. For comparison, a well-specified 75 to 90 litre domestic cooler typically delivers somewhere around 3,900 to 4,400 cubic metres per hour — so this moves close to double the air. That is what makes it suitable for a showroom floor, a workshop, a large hall, a restaurant seating area or a covered terrace, where a household cooler simply gets lost in the volume of the space. If you have ever put a domestic cooler in a shop and found it made no difference, this is the specification that explains why.
Auto fill — the feature that makes a 100 litre cooler practical
A 100 litre tank is heavy to fill by hand, and in commercial use it empties faster than you expect on a hot day. The auto fill function lets you connect the cooler to a water supply so it refills itself and holds the level automatically, exactly like a float valve in a tank. Nobody has to carry buckets, nobody has to remember, and the cooler does not quietly run dry halfway through the afternoon and start blowing warm air at your customers. For a shop, a workshop or an office where the cooler runs all day and no one is assigned to watch it, this is the difference between a machine that works and one that gets neglected. You will need a water point within reach of where it stands — worth planning before delivery. Ask us about the connection and what fittings are needed.
Three-sided honeycomb pads, and why the coating matters
Cooling pads on three sides rather than one give the fan far more wet surface to draw air through, which is a large part of how this achieves its air delivery figure. Honeycomb pads hold water better and last longer than the old wood-wool pads, and they are easier to rinse out. The Bacteria Shield treatment addresses the real weakness of every evaporative cooler: the pads stay wet, and warm wet material left standing grows mould and bacteria, which is exactly why a neglected cooler starts to smell musty after a season. The coating slows that down, but it is not a substitute for maintenance. Drain the tank when the cooler will stand unused for more than a couple of days, rinse the pads periodically through the season, and let the fan run dry for a few minutes before shutting down for good at the end of summer. Do that and it will smell of nothing at all next April.
🎯 Suited to
This is a commercial unit and a large one. For a bedroom or a normal living room it is far more cooler than you need and will be uncomfortably powerful — ask us about a 75 or 90 litre domestic model instead.
Ball bearings at both ends rather than bushes — built for the long continuous running a commercial cooler does, with less wear and less noise over seasons.
The louvers fold flat away, so you can direct the airflow wide across a floor or close it down when the cooler is stored.
Mechanical knobs rather than a touch panel — simpler, more robust and easier to operate in a workshop or shop environment.
Moulded plastic body that will not rust the way a metal-bodied cooler does when it spends every summer full of water.

The scope of cover, coverage of the motor, pump, cooling pads, tank, body and controls, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. Damage arising from misuse, operation without water, incorrect or unearthed electrical supply, water ingress to electrical components, failure to drain and clean the unit, use of additives in the water tank or unauthorised servicing is commonly excluded. Cooling pads and the water pump are consumable or wear items on evaporative coolers and their warranty treatment should be confirmed before purchase. Power consumption, inverter compatibility, external dimensions, number of speed settings, fan blade size and count, noise level, presence of an ice chamber, castors or wheels, the water inlet fitting required for the auto fill function, remote control availability and country of origin are not stated in supplier material and should be confirmed before purchase. Air delivery of 4709 CFM, tank capacity and weight are manufacturer specifications determined under their own test conditions; the approximate conversion to cubic metres per hour and the comparison with typical domestic cooler air delivery figures are provided as general context to aid understanding and are not manufacturer specifications. Actual cooling performance varies substantially with ambient temperature, relative humidity, ventilation, floor area, ceiling height, occupancy, water level, pad condition and supply voltage. This product is an evaporative air cooler and not an air conditioner: it cools by evaporating water into the air stream and therefore increases the humidity of the space, its effectiveness reduces significantly as ambient humidity rises, and it requires continuous ventilation with an open window or door to function correctly. No specific temperature reduction is claimed or guaranteed. The Bacteria Shield description of the cooling pad treatment is the manufacturer's own product description; this product is a household and commercial appliance and not a medical device, no antibacterial, antimicrobial, air-purification, allergen-removal or health outcome is claimed or implied, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Regular draining and cleaning remain necessary regardless of any pad treatment. Standing water must not be left in the tank when the appliance is unused, both for hygiene and because stagnant water can support mosquito breeding. The appliance must be connected to a properly earthed supply of adequate rating and not through light-duty extension boards, must be switched off and disconnected before filling, draining, cleaning or moving, must be placed level on a firm floor, must be moved only when empty, and must not be used outdoors in rain or where it may be splashed. Electrical components, cord and controls must be kept dry. Fingers and objects must be kept clear of the fan grille and children must not be permitted to climb on the appliance or play with the water. Additives must not be introduced into the water tank unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer. Discontinue use and seek service if the appliance trips the electrical supply, if water is observed near electrical components, if the motor becomes unusually noisy or if burning odour is detected.
