yearswhy the split is the spec

This is the specification worth reading closely, because the warranty is divided exactly along the lines on which a geyser actually fails. Seven years on the tank. Four years on the heating element. Two years on the body and electrical components. Those are not arbitrary numbers. The tank and the element are the two parts that hard water destroys, and they are also the two that are expensive to replacea perforated tank means a new geyser altogether, and on a 50 litre unit that is a significant sum. A manufacturer putting seven years behind a tank is making a claim about its Feroglas coating that it has to honour. It is worth comparing this against anything else you are considering, because plenty of geysers advertise a single headline warranty figure that turns out to cover only the body. Ask for the split in writing rather than one number.

📏

50 litres — and the practical question of whether you need it

Fifty litres is a large domestic geyser, and it is the right answer to a specific problem: several people bathing in sequence on a winter morning without anyone waiting for a reheat. In a household of four or five sharing one bathroom, or a home where a long shower is the norm rather than a bucket bath, this is the size that stops the argument. It is worth being honest about the trade-offs, though. A bigger tank costs more to buy, holds more water to keep warm, and is physically large — the unit itself measures 46.1 × 48.6 × 65.2 cm and carries 50 kg of water on top of its own weight once filled, so the wall has to be genuinely sound. For one or two people, a 25 litre does the job for less money and less wall. Tell us how many people use the bathroom and in what pattern, and we will size it properly rather than sell you the largest one.

🌡️

25–75°C adjustable — the setting that decides your bill and the tank's life

Most people set a geyser to maximum and leave it there, which works against them on three counts — and on a 50 litre tank the effect is larger than on a small one. Water stored hotter loses more heat to the room while it sits, so a 5-star tank held at 75°C gives away much of what the rating earns you, across fifty litres rather than fifteen. It also scales faster: mineral deposition from hard water accelerates sharply at higher temperatures, and scale on the element is what makes an old geyser slow and eventually kills it. And at 75°C you end up mixing in a great deal of cold at the tap anyway, which means you paid to heat water you never used at that temperature. Set it to a moderate level that gives comfortable water with little mixing. Less electricity, slower scaling, and a lower risk of scalding — which matters with children or elderly parents in the house.

Households Of Four Or More Long Showers Sequential Morning Bathing High-Rise Flats Hard Water Areas Large Bathrooms

Check the wall and the space before ordering. The unit measures 46.1 × 48.6 × 65.2 cm and holds 50 kg of water in addition to its own weight — fixings from a smaller geyser will not be adequate. For one or two people, a 25 litre costs less to buy and less to run.

⚡ ELCB Protection

An earth leakage breaker that trips if current finds a path it should not. On a mains appliance in a wet room, this is a safety specification worth having.

🔩 Incoloy Glass-Coated Element

A coated element resists scale far better than a bare one, which is why the element here carries four years rather than the usual two.

🌀 Whirlflow Technology

Stops incoming cold water mixing straight into the heated water above, so more of the stored 50 litres comes out genuinely hot rather than lukewarm.

🧱 Rust & Shock-Proof ABS Body

The outer shell will not rust in a permanently humid bathroom the way a painted metal casing eventually does.

⚠️ A high-wattage appliance holding 50 litres of heated water under pressure, on a bathroom wall. Please read this properly. 1. Installation is not a DIY job — have it installed and connected by a qualified electrician and plumber, as incorrect installation voids the warranty. 2. Confirm the wattage before the electrician wires the point. Supplier figures differ between 2000 W and 3000 W for this model, and the circuit and MCB must be rated for the figure on the unit's rating plate. It needs a correctly rated, properly earthed dedicated point — never a shared socket or an extension lead. 3. The ELCB is a protective device, not a substitute for correct earthing — the installation must be properly earthed regardless. 4. Wall fixing is critical at this size. A 50 litre heater carries 50 kg of water in addition to its own weight. It must go on a structurally sound wall with correct fixings, never on a partition or hollow panel, and fixings from a smaller geyser will not be adequate. 5. Never block, adjust or remove the multi-function safety valve. Occasional dripping during heating is normal and should be piped to a drain; continuous heavy dripping should be checked. 6. IPX4 is splash resistant, not waterproof — it must not be positioned where a shower sprays it directly. 7. Never switch it on with an empty tank; the element must be submerged. Fill the tank and run a hot tap until water flows steadily before first switching on. 8. Set a moderate thermostat temperature, particularly with children or elderly family members in the house. 9. Confirm the working pressure suits your building — where supply pressure may exceed 8 bar, a pressure reducing valve is required. 10. Have it descaled periodically in hard water; descaling in time is what protects the seven-year tank. 11. Isolate and drain before any servicing, and stop using it if you notice leaking, tripping, discoloured water or unusual noise. Installation, plumbing, electrical work, MCB and any civil work are chargeable separately unless expressly included on your invoice.
