Peak brightness is the number that decides whether HDR actually looks like HDR. High dynamic range works by pushing highlights genuinely bright while shadows stay deep — sunlight glinting off water, a welding spark, neon at night. AI 4K Upscaling reconstructs detail in sub-4K content — set-top-box cable, older Hindi films, YouTube on a slow evening connection — and pushes it towards native 4K sharpness. AI HDR Upscaler expands the brightness range of ordinary SDR material so it carries some of the punch of true HDR. And MEMC motion processing interpolates frames so a cover drive, a counter-attack or a chase sequence stays fluid instead of juddering. Mini-LED + Quantum Dot — 240 zones of independent backlight control
A standard LED television lights its panel with a few dozen large LEDs, so light spills sideways and night scenes come out grey. Mini-LED shrinks each LED to a tiny fraction of that size and packs thousands behind the panel, divided here into 240 independently controlled dimming zones. A dark region of the picture gets its backlight dimmed while a bright object right next to it stays at full output — deeper blacks and brighter highlights inside the same frame. The Quantum Dot layer sitting on top widens the colour gamut, so those bright highlights are richly and accurately coloured rather than washed towards white. This is how an LCD panel gets close to OLED-grade contrast while going far brighter than OLED ever can — ideal for a Delhi flat that is sunlit by day and blacked-out for films by night.
