Coverage area is the figure everyone compares, and on its own it means very little. What decides whether a purifier actually works is how often it can clean the whole room — because pollution doesn't arrive once, it keeps coming in through doors, windows and cooking. The Air Touch V1's CADR of 152 m³/h gives two complete air changes every hour in a 235 sq ft room, so the air you're breathing has been through the filters twice since the last hour began. Three stages, and why the order matters
A purifier's stages aren't three versions of the same thing — each protects the next. The pre-filter comes first and catches the large stuff: hair, pet fur, visible dust. Without it, that debris clogs the expensive filter behind it within weeks. The H13 HEPA then captures 99.97% of microscopic particles — PM2.5, PM10, pollen, allergens and bacteria — and H13 is a stricter grade than the H11 and H12 common at this price. Finally the activated carbon layer deals with what HEPA physically cannot: odours, smoke, VOCs and harmful gases, which are molecules rather than particles and pass straight through any HEPA mesh.

The commonest reason an air purifier stops working is that somebody turned it off, and the commonest reason for that is noise in a quiet room at night.
