Non-stick
soleplatewhat actually ruins clothes
The soleplate is the entire iron as far as your clothes are concerned, and a bad one causes two problems people usually blame on themselves. The first is drag — a plain metal plate catches on cotton and needs pushing, which is tiring across a basket of shirts and produces uneven results. The second is worse: once a plate has picked up melted synthetic fibre, starch or a scorch mark, it transfers that onto everything ironed afterwards, and a brown streak on a white shirt is not always removable. A non-stick coating addresses both. It glides instead of gripping, and residue does not bond to it — most marks wipe off a cool plate with a damp cloth. Being scratch-resistant matters too, because scratches are exactly where residue starts collecting. One habit protects it: never iron over zips, hooks or metal buttons, which is what damages a coated plate.
Earthing and a cool-touch body — the safety layers worth having
An iron is one of the more demanding appliances in an Indian home: a kilowatt of heat in a handheld device, often used on a bed or the floor rather than a proper board, and frequently plugged into an old socket. Three things on this model address that. The cord carries an earth wire, which is the protection that actually matters against electric shock if a fault develops internally — it needs a properly earthed three-pin socket to do its job, so it is worth checking yours. The body is shock-proof plastic and cool-touch, so the parts you hold stay safe to hold while the plate is at full temperature. And the thermostat cuts and restores power to hold the set temperature rather than heating indefinitely, which protects both the iron and the fabric under it. None of that removes the basic rule: an iron left face-down on a garment will burn through it in under a minute.
Getting the temperature right — the dial is not decoration
Most ironing damage comes from one setting used for everything, and the fabric markings on the dial exist to prevent exactly that. Synthetics — polyester, nylon, rayon — take the lowest setting, and will melt and stick to the plate above it. Silk and wool sit in the middle. Cotton and linen need the top of the range, and will simply not press flat below it. Two rules make this easy. Start with the coolest garments and work upwards, since an iron heats faster than it cools — going the other way means waiting each time. And wait for the indicator light to cycle off after changing the setting, because the dial position is the target, not the current temperature. For anything delicate or dark, test on an inside seam first, and iron dark cottons inside out to avoid the shine a hot plate leaves on the surface.
🎯 Suited to
This is a dry iron — there is no water tank and no steam. For heavy creases in thick cotton, dampen the fabric lightly with a spray bottle first. If you want steam, ask us for a steam iron instead and we will show you the difference.
The cord rotates freely at the iron, so it does not kink or pull whichever way you turn — and it reaches pockets, hems and plackets without fighting you.
The light goes out when the plate reaches the set temperature, so you know when to start rather than guessing.
Light and compact enough to pack for travel or keep in a hostel room, and easy to hold through a long ironing session.
Two years from date of purchase, which is longer than most irons at this price carry. Terms as per Inalsa policy.

Warranty as per Inalsa terms and conditions — 2 years from date of purchase as stated in supplier material. The scope of cover, parts and labour, exclusions, product registration and the service process are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty card. Soleplate coatings, cords and thermostats may be subject to different cover; damage arising from misuse, ironing over metal fasteners, use on unearthed supply, immersion in water or unauthorised servicing is commonly excluded. Cord length, soleplate base material, temperature range, heat-up time, the presence of auto shut-off, ISI certification and country of origin are not stated in supplier material and should be confirmed before purchase; the presence of an automatic shut-off function in particular should not be assumed. Power of 1000 W is the electrical input rating. Ironing results depend on fabric type, moisture content, the temperature setting selected, technique and the surface ironed on. This appliance is a dry iron and has no water tank or steam function; it is not a steam iron or a garment steamer, and water must not be poured into it. Explanations of soleplate coatings, earthing, thermostat operation and fabric temperature selection provided here are general information to aid understanding and are not manufacturer specifications. Non-stick and scratch-resistant descriptions are as stated by the manufacturer and describe relative performance rather than immunity to damage. This product is a household appliance and not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and no health outcome is claimed or implied. The appliance reaches temperatures capable of causing severe burns, scorching fabric and starting fires. It must never be left unattended while hot or connected to the mains, must never be left resting on its soleplate on fabric or a board cover, and must be stood upright on its heel between passes. It must be unplugged immediately after use and allowed to cool completely before storage; the soleplate retains heat long after the appliance is switched off. Clothing must never be ironed while being worn. The appliance must be connected to a properly earthed three-pin socket, as the earthed cord provides protection against electric shock only where correct earthing is present; unearthed adaptors and loose sockets must not be used. It must not be operated with wet hands, must be kept away from water and must never be immersed. Children and animals must be kept away from the appliance, its cord and its cooling position. Ironing should be carried out on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The soleplate must not be run over zips, hooks, metal buttons or pins. The cord must not be wrapped around a hot iron, and the appliance must be withdrawn from use if the cord or plug is damaged, frayed or becomes warm in use. Fabric care labels should be checked and the temperature setting matched accordingly, testing on an inconspicuous area where there is any doubt. Discontinue use immediately in the event of smoke, burning odour, sparking or tripping of the electrical supply.
