Most air purifiers give you a coloured ring — green, amber, red — which tells you almost nothing. The AF 20 displays air quality as a real number in µg/m³, the same unit used in every AQI report you read. That changes how you use it: you can see the reading climb when cooking starts, watch it fall after the purifier has run twenty minutes, and check whether opening a window on a bad Delhi morning was a mistake. It also shows filter and device status, so replacement isn't guesswork. On a machine whose entire job is invisible, being shown the evidence is what makes it worth owning.
H13 HEPA plus activated carbon — two problems, two filters
Clean air is really two separate problems, and one filter can't solve both. The High Protect 13 (H13) HEPA filter handles what floats: it removes 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, which covers fine dust, pollen and other allergens, along with pathogens and aerosols — H13 is a stricter grade than the H11 and H12 filters common at this price. The activated carbon layer handles what you smell: it bonds odours and chemical vapours that pass straight through any HEPA, because gases are molecules rather than particles. Cooking smells, pet odours and VOCs from furniture and paint need this second layer.
26 dB — quiet enough to actually leave running overnight
An air purifier only helps while it's switched on, and the commonest reason people turn one off is noise in a quiet bedroom.
