Here is the flaw in most water purifiers: they purify water and then store it, and stored water sitting in a tank for hours can develop bacteria again. You purify in the morning and drink at midnight from a tank that's been standing all day. UV in Tank puts an ultraviolet lamp inside the storage tank itself, so the stored water is continuously treated rather than treated once on the way in. That's a genuinely different design from a purifier that only has UV in the flow path — and on a 9-litre tank in a household that fills once and draws slowly, it's the feature that matters most.
TDS control with mineral retention — RO that doesn't strip the water bare
Reverse osmosis is very good at removing dissolved solids, and that's the problem: it removes the harmful ones and the useful ones together. Water that has been through plain RO is safe but flat, and stripped of the calcium and magnesium your body actually wants from it. KENT's TDS Controller blends the streams so essential natural minerals are retained while contaminants are removed — you set the balance rather than accepting whatever the membrane gives you. That's why a TDS meter is included in the box: you can measure your own supply and check what the purifier is doing.
Alkaline and Copper — and why the RO + UV + UF chain matters in Delhi
Three purification technologies do three different jobs. RO removes dissolved salts and heavy metals; UV deactivates bacteria and viruses; UF catches the larger particles and cysts that get through. Delhi NCR water arrives from very different sources depending on the day and the locality — municipal one week, tanker or borewell the next — and a maximum feed TDS of 1500 mg/litre means this handles the hard end of that range rather than only the easy end. On top, Alkaline and Copper enrichment adjusts the finished water, and the unit is NSF certified.
