Mineral RO™ — what standard RO removes that you actually need
Standard RO membranes remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses — but also strip out calcium, magnesium, and potassium that naturally occur in water and contribute to daily mineral intake. Long-term consumption of de-mineralised water has been linked in some studies to mineral deficiency and altered electrolyte balance. Delhi NCR's water supply combines Yamuna river water (treated at plants like Wazirabad, Chandrawal, Sonia Vihar) with groundwater that varies dramatically by locality — from 200 ppm in some South Delhi areas to 800+ ppm in parts of Gurgaon, Faridabad, and East Delhi.
