Air Fry gives you the crunch of deep frying with up to 80% less oil. Hot air circulates at speed and crisps the food from every side at once, so fries, nuggets, kebabs, cutlets, samosas and chicken wings come out golden without a kadai of oil. Sixty dedicated Air Fry recipes are built in, so the time and temperature are already decided for you. Charcoal Lighting Heater — tandoor character, indoors
This is the element that separates the MJEN286UGWF from an ordinary convection microwave. LG's Charcoal Lighting Heater recreates the radiant heat of natural charcoal cooking inside the cavity — better browning, a crisper exterior and a smokier depth of flavour, without lighting anything. Because the heat works on the surface while the interior stays moist, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka, seekh kebabs, pizza and bakery items come out caramelised outside and juicy inside. It cooks faster than a conventional oven and lands much closer to what a real coal fire gives you — which matters in a flat where a sigri on the balcony was never an option.
Wi-Fi with LG ThinQ and Scan-to-Cook — the oven does the thinking
Connect the oven to your home Wi-Fi and the LG ThinQ app lets you start and monitor a cook, download new recipes and reach smart presets from wherever you are in the house. Scan-to-Cook reads the barcode on supported food packaging and sets the mode, temperature and time by itself — 40 Scan-to-Cook recipes are loaded from day one. The child safety lock is the one parents come back and thank us for — it disengages in seconds from the touch panel, and stops a curious pair of hands starting the oven in the meantime.
The motor turns food continuously through the full rotation so every side meets the heat equally — no manual turning and no dry patches. Whole chicken, chicken tikka, seekh kebabs and grilled vegetables come out caramelised outside and juicy inside. The rotisserie kit is in the box.
A smooth steel interior reflects heat better for faster, more uniform cooking, and it resists stains, odours and corrosion. After a heavy tandoori session it wipes clean instead of holding onto the smell of last week's fish.
A glass touch panel paired with a tactile dial — quick to scroll through 331 menus, precise to set, and easy to use mid-cook with one hand. The black glass front keeps the counter looking deliberate.
Auto defrost works out the time and power from the food type and weight, so frozen chicken thaws through instead of cooking at the edges. Multiple power levels let you match intensity to the dish, from a gentle warm to full output.
