The LG Direct Drive motor with inverter control drives the drum directly, with far fewer moving parts than a traditional belt-and-pulley system. On top of that motor sits 6 Motion Direct Drive: Tumble, Swing, Rolling, Scrubbing, Filtration and Stepping — six wash movements based on hand-washing. You pick a cycle, and the machine selects the combination of motions that suits it: scrubbing for denim, swing for a silk saree, stepping for baby clothes. The Saree / Wool Gentle programme is the one Indian households ask for by name — a slow, low-stress cycle for silk, georgette and zari-bordered sarees that would otherwise be hand-washed after every function.
