The dedicated centre channel is the part you will notice on day one. In a Delhi flat, the television competes with everything — traffic on the road below, the neighbour's grinder, a cooler running in the next room, family in the kitchen. A TV's own speakers push dialogue and effects through the same tiny drivers, so you spend the evening riding the volume button: up for the whispered line, down for the explosion. The Heston 60's 3.1 layout gives speech its own dedicated channel, separate from the left, right and bass. Dialogue sits forward and stays intelligible at a civil volume — the news, the cricket commentary, the film at 11 PM — while the two built-in rear-facing subwoofers and four passive radiators handle the low end without an extra box on your floor.
Dolby Atmos and DTS:X — sound placed in the room, not just pointed at you
Ordinary surround sound assigns audio to fixed channels. Object-based audio does something better: it treats each sound as an object with a position in three-dimensional space. The Heston 60 decodes both major object-based formats — Dolby Atmos and DTS:X — so the rain in a scene sits overhead, the helicopter travels across and above you, ambience opens out to the sides, and the dialogue stays anchored at the screen. Marshall's acoustic tuning, built on decades of the brand's work in live sound, gives that spatial detail real character rather than sterile precision. Films get their scale back, live concert recordings get their room back, and a football match gets a crowd that surrounds you rather than sitting flat behind the commentary.
Real bass without a subwoofer box — built for the compact flat
Most soundbars that promise cinema bass arrive with a separate subwoofer: another cabinet to place, another power point to find, another cable, another thing to trip over in a flat that is already short of floor space. The Heston 60 puts the bass system inside the bar — two rear-facing subwoofers driving four passive radiators, engineered to deliver deep, punchy low end while keeping the mids clean and the highs crisp. One 73 cm bar, one power cable, sitting on the TV unit. And when the film runs late, Night Mode pulls the bass back so you get the full performance in the evening and considerate volume at midnight — which matters when the bedroom wall is shared with the neighbours.

🛠️ Streaming and control, built in
The Marshall App is where this bar earns its keep over time — fine-tune the EQ to your room, run room calibration, manage which input is live, and take firmware updates so the bar keeps improving after it is on your TV unit.
Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are decoded natively, so whichever format a film, series or disc arrives in, the bar renders it properly instead of folding it down to plain stereo.
The bass architecture lives inside the bar. You get depth and punch on a single 73 cm unit — no second cabinet to place, power and hide in a compact living room.
Google Cast, Spotify Connect and AirPlay 2 over Wi-Fi mean music plays at full quality straight from the network, and everyone in the house can send to it from their own phone.
Premium matte finish and minimalist industrial styling in a 73 × 12.4 × 6.8 cm tabletop body — it looks like a piece of Marshall equipment, not an anonymous black slab.
