Most Bluetooth speakers are two-way: a woofer and a tweeter, with the midrange split awkwardly between them. That's where voices, guitars and pianos live, so it's exactly the wrong place to compromise — and it's why a lot of loud speakers still sound muddled when the music gets busy. The Woburn III uses a redesigned 3-way system with dedicated midrange drivers alongside the woofer and tweeters, so each driver handles only the band it was designed for. The result is articulate mids, punchy bass and clean highs that stay separated at volume — which is what you're paying for in a speaker this size, and it's audible within about ten seconds of hearing one.
HDMI ARC — this replaces your soundbar, not just your Bluetooth speaker
The input that changes what this speaker is for is HDMI ARC. Most premium Bluetooth speakers stream music and nothing else. ARC connects the Woburn III directly to your television over a single cable, carries the TV's audio properly, and lets your TV remote control the volume — so it becomes the everyday sound system for films and sport, not a device you switch to for music. Add RCA for a turntable, a 3.5 mm AUX for anything else, and Bluetooth 5.2 for phones and laptops, and one cabinet covers television, vinyl, console and streaming without a receiver in between.
