Fifty feet is longer than most Delhi drawing rooms, and that is exactly the point. An ordinary split AC pushes a cone of cold air a few feet in front of itself and leaves the rest of the room to convection — which is why the sofa near the unit is freezing while the dining end stays warm through a June evening.
