A party speaker that dies at 10 PM is a paperweight. The TAX2208 runs up to 7 hours of continuous playtime on its built-in lithium-ion battery, which in Delhi NCR terms covers a full evening of music — and covers you when the power goes out mid-function and the inverter is already carrying the fans. Move it to the terrace for a winter get-together, take it to a farmhouse where the socket is three rooms away, or run it straight through a Sunday afternoon. Charge it once, and the speaker is not the thing you have to think about.
Dynamic Bass Boost — Philips' signature low end, on demand
Small speakers usually thin out exactly where dance music lives. Philips' Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB) lifts the low frequencies so the beat stays full and physical at real party volume instead of collapsing into treble. Behind it is an 8-inch speaker driven by a dynamic driver, delivering 2.0 stereo sound with 30 W maximum sound output — enough to fill a drawing room, a terrace or a small hall. Switch DBB on when the playlist turns to Punjabi beats and bass-heavy tracks; leave it off and you still get clean, balanced stereo for conversation-level listening.
Built to be carried — not installed
At 24.9 × 24.9 × 34.2 cm and 2.82 kg, this is a speaker one person picks up with one hand. The built-in carry handle is the detail that matters in a compact Delhi flat: it lives on a shelf or a tabletop, comes down for a birthday or a card night, goes to the terrace in December and to a cousin's house on the weekend. Battery power means no extension board snaking across the floor and no hunting for a socket near the crowd — the music goes wherever the people are.

📱 Plays with what you already own
Bluetooth handles the phones, tablets and laptops in the house; the Aux-in takes care of the television and anything older with a headphone socket — so one speaker serves the whole home.
A 30 W maximum output with an 8-inch speaker and a dynamic driver gives you real volume for a drawing room, a terrace or a small function hall — loud enough to carry a crowd, compact enough to sit on a side table.
The wired microphone is included, so the singing starts the same evening you unbox it. No separate mic to buy, no adapter to hunt for — plug in and hand it to whoever is brave enough to go first.
True Wireless Pairing links two Philips party speakers into a single wireless stereo setup — a genuine left-and-right spread across a bigger room when you want to scale the sound up later.
Party light modes turn a plain living room into a party space in one press — the easiest way to change the mood for a birthday, a Diwali evening or a Saturday night at home.
