Ultra2 answers it with formal certifications instead. 10ATM and IP69K together mean it withstands heavy downpours, thick dust and the crushing pressure of open water. EN13319 — a first on a Galaxy Watch — is the European dive-computer standard, which is why this is genuinely dive-ready rather than merely swim-proof. MIL-STD-810H covers the wider environmental range: temperature extremes, altitude, shock. Around all of it sits an aero-grade titanium case that takes impact head-on while staying light on the wrist, with sapphire glass over the display.

The usual trade in a rugged watch is endurance for bulk. Ultra2 refuses it: the battery grows 35% to 800 mAh, delivering up to 60 hours of runtime even with Always On Display active — genuine multi-day endurance for an expedition, a long trek, or simply a working week without hunting for the charger. And despite the larger cell, the watch is 12% thinner than the previous Ultra, with computational design work on shape, angle, thickness and materials improving wearing comfort by 25%. When you do need power, Galaxy Watch Fast Charging — a first for the range — returns around 40% in about 30 minutes.
