Most soundbars are a stereo pair in a long box, and it shows the moment a film gets busy. This one is a true 3.1.2 layout: three separate front channels β left, right and a dedicated centre β plus a subwoofer for the low end and two up-firing channels aimed at the ceiling for height. The centre channel is the one you feel every evening in a Delhi flat: dialogue comes out of its own driver instead of being smeared across a stereo pair, so a whispered line still lands clearly over the ceiling fan, the traffic on the main road and the cooler running in the next room. Three front channels, one subwoofer and two up-firing channels combine to create a multi-dimensional surround soundstage that fills your entire room, with 320 W of total output behind it.
Q-Symphony β your Samsung TV's speakers join in instead of switching off
Connect an ordinary soundbar to a TV and the TV's own speakers go silent. Q-Symphony works the other way round: paired with a compatible Samsung TV, the television's speakers keep playing in harmony with the soundbar, so the sound is coming from more drivers, spread over more of the wall, all steered as one system. The practical effect is a wider, taller stage and better-placed effects β a car crossing the screen actually travels across it. It is the reason this soundbar is at its best sitting under a Samsung television, and it costs you nothing extra to switch on.
Dolby Atmos overhead, DTS Virtual:X width β and how each one gets there
Height sound is what separates a cinema from a television, and this soundbar builds it two ways. The two up-firing channels physically point at your ceiling and bounce sound back down, so with a Dolby Atmos track you get breathtaking, overhead 3D audio that flows above and around you β delivering the same dynamic sound experience as in a premium cinema. DTS Virtual:X takes the other route: it is processing, not extra drivers, using clever psychoacoustics to stretch the stage outward and upward from the speakers that are already there. Knowing which is which matters when you set it up β Atmos height rewards a flat, hard ceiling of normal flat height, which is exactly what most Delhi NCR drawing rooms have, while Virtual:X keeps working whatever the room above looks like.
π§ The sound this system speaks
Dolby Atmos
Object-based overhead 3D audio, delivered through the two up-firing channels
DTS Virtual:X
Processing that widens and lifts the soundstage beyond the physical speakers
Dolby Audio
The everyday standard for films, series and broadcast, handled natively
Q-Symphony
Samsung TV speakers and soundbar playing together as one larger system
π How everything connects
HDMI eARC
One cable to the TV carries the full-quality soundtrack, Atmos included, and the TV remote controls the volume
Optical In
A second wired route for older televisions and set-top boxes, so nothing in the rack is left out
Bluetooth 5.3
Stream music straight from a phone or laptop on the current Bluetooth generation, TV switched off
Wireless Subwoofer
No speaker cable across the drawing room β the subwoofer only needs a power point
π οΈ What the system is made of
The wireless subwoofer is the quietly valuable one in a compact flat β it needs a power socket and nothing else, so it can go beside the sofa, behind the TV unit or in the corner that actually has room, and you move it around until the bass sits right without pulling up a single cable.
The ".1" in 3.1 is a driver dedicated entirely to voices. Dialogue stays anchored to the screen and stays intelligible at low volume β the setting you actually use late at night in a flat with shared walls.
Two channels aimed upward reflect sound off the ceiling so rain, aircraft and score arrive from above you rather than in front of you. This is physical height, not simulation β the hardware is in the bar.
The subwoofer connects wirelessly and contributes to a 320 W total output, so action films and music get weight underneath them without a run of speaker cable across the room.
The soundbar doubles as the house music system on the newest Bluetooth generation β steadier connection and lower power draw β for the hours when nobody is watching anything.
