Description
The misting works brilliantly in dry heat — and much less well in the monsoon
Misting cools by evaporation: fine water droplets absorb heat from the air as they turn to vapour. That works extremely well in Delhi from April to June, when the air is hot and dry and the mist disappears before it lands on anything. Once the monsoon arrives and humidity rises, the air cannot absorb much more moisture, so the cooling effect drops sharply and you are more likely to feel damp than cool. Use the mist outdoors in dry heat, and use the fan on its own the rest of the year. That is exactly how it is designed to be used, and it is better to know now than to be disappointed in July.
Unplug It. Carry It Outside.
Then Add the Mist.
A cordless fan that genuinely goes where a normal pedestal fan cannot · no cable, so it moves from the bedroom to the balcony to the garden without hunting for a socket · a removable MistPro tray that adds outdoor misting with no permanent hose and no bucket standing beside it · airflow reaching up to 20 metres, which is far beyond an ordinary domestic fan · converts from full-height pedestal to tabletop at the touch of a button, with misting and oscillation working in both · five speeds, 180° oscillation, 55° tilt and a remote · UV-resistant and rain-resistant for genuine outdoor life · 7.1 kg
The 24-hour battery figure is real, but it applies under one specific set of conditions and it is worth understanding before you buy. Shark state it at fan speed 1, with oscillation off and misting off. That is the gentlest possible setting — useful overnight beside a bed, but not how most people use a fan on a hot afternoon. Turn the speed up, switch on oscillation, or run the mist, and the runtime comes down substantially, because each of those draws additional power. Shark do not publish figures for the higher settings, so we cannot tell you exactly what to expect at speed 4 with oscillation running. The practical way to use it: run it on mains power when you are near a socket, and save the battery for the balcony, the garden or the terrace where there is no power point. That is where a cordless fan earns its money.
Outdoor misting normally means one of two things: a permanent hose installation fixed to a wall, or a fan sitting next to an open bucket of water with a pump in it. Neither is something you want on a terrace you also use for sitting. The MistPro tray is removable and self-contained — you fill it, clip it on, and the fan mists. When you want the fan indoors, you take the tray off and it is an ordinary fan again. Two practical points. Use filtered or RO water rather than straight tap water: Delhi water is hard, and hard water in a misting system leaves white mineral deposits on the nozzles and on nearby surfaces over time. And empty the tray when you are not using it — standing water in a warm tray is both a hygiene issue and, in Delhi, a mosquito breeding risk.
Pedestal or tabletop, changed at the touch of a button
Most fans are one thing permanently: either a full-height pedestal that takes up floor space, or a small table fan that cannot reach across a room. This one detaches from its stand in seconds, so the same fan is a pedestal in the living room in the evening and a tabletop fan on a desk the next morning. Both misting and oscillation continue to work in either configuration, which is not always true of convertible fans. In practice this matters most in a flat where storage is tight: one fan covers the bedroom, the balcony, the desk and the dining table rather than needing two or three, and the stand comes apart for storage over winter. The base is floor-mounted and weighted for stability, so it stays put when oscillating at higher speeds.
Rain-resistant — with one important exception
The fan body uses UV-resistant materials tested to UL746C, which matters more than it sounds: ordinary plastic left on a Delhi terrace through a few summers goes chalky, brittle and yellow under UV, and eventually cracks. UV-stabilised material is what stops that happening. The fan itself is also designed to withstand rain, so an unexpected shower while it is on the balcony is not a disaster. The exception, and Shark are explicit about it, is the remote control — that is not rain resistant and should be brought indoors. Two sensible habits: bring the remote in when you bring yourself in, and while the fan tolerates rain, there is no reason to leave it standing out through a full monsoon week when it takes ten seconds to move.
🎛️ Controls and adjustment
The 55° tilt is the underrated one. Most fans only swing side to side — being able to aim the air upward at a seated group or downward at a bed changes how useful it is in a specific spot.
🎯 Suited to
This is a fan, not an air conditioner or an air cooler. It moves air and, outdoors in dry heat, adds evaporative mist — it does not lower the temperature of a closed room. If you want a room genuinely cooled, ask us about coolers and air conditioners instead.
Far beyond an ordinary domestic fan — the point is that people sitting at the far end of a terrace still feel the air.
Change speed, oscillation and misting without getting up — genuinely useful when the fan is across a garden.
Heavy enough that it does not walk when oscillating at speed, light enough for one person to carry outside.
Plug it in for unlimited running indoors, unplug for the balcony. You are not choosing one or the other.

Warranty is not stated in supplier material for this product and must be confirmed in writing before purchase; the warranty term, scope of cover, coverage of the battery, motor, misting system and remote control, parts and labour, exclusions, registration requirements, service arrangements and spare parts availability in India are subject to brand policy and the final invoice or warranty documentation. This is an EU-specification model and service support, spare parts availability including replacement mist nozzles, and supplied plug type should be confirmed before ordering. Battery capacity, charging time, runtime at settings above the lowest speed or with oscillation or misting active, MistPro tray water capacity, formal IP rating, air delivery in volumetric terms and country of origin are not stated in supplier material and should be confirmed before purchase. The stated maximum battery life of up to 24 hours applies at fan speed 1 with oscillation and misting switched off, as specified by the manufacturer; actual runtime is substantially shorter at higher speeds and with oscillation or misting in use, and varies with battery age, charge level, ambient temperature and usage pattern. Airflow reach of up to 20 metres, oscillation and tilt ranges, five speed settings, noise level of 57.7 dB, power rating of 36 W, dimensions and weight are manufacturer specifications determined under their own test conditions; actual airflow, perceived cooling, noise and misting performance vary with placement, room or outdoor area size, obstructions, ambient temperature, relative humidity, air movement, selected settings and supply voltage. This product is a fan with an evaporative misting function and is not an air conditioner or an air cooler; it does not reduce the temperature of an enclosed room, and evaporative misting is substantially less effective as ambient humidity rises and is best suited to hot, dry conditions. No specific temperature reduction is claimed or guaranteed. UV resistance is stated by the manufacturer as tested according to UL746C; rain resistance applies to the fan and expressly does not apply to the remote control, and no formal ingress protection rating is stated. This product is a household appliance and not a medical device; no health, respiratory, air-purification or humidity outcome is claimed or implied. The appliance must be fully assembled as instructed before use, stood level on a firm surface away from edges, railings and drops, and kept clear of walkways. It must be charged indoors in dry conditions using only the supplied charging cable, and must not be immersed, sprayed with water or exposed to water ingress at the charging port or fan body. Only clean water should be used in the misting tray; perfumes, oils and chemical additives must not be introduced. Filtered or treated water is recommended in hard water areas to prevent nozzle blockage and mineral deposits. The misting tray must be emptied when not in use, as standing water can support bacterial growth and mosquito breeding. Misting should not be directed at electrical outlets, equipment or surfaces that may be damaged by moisture, and may make floor surfaces slippery. Fingers and objects must be kept clear of the blade guard and children must not be permitted to insert objects through it or climb on the appliance or stand. The appliance must be switched off and disconnected before cleaning, filling, moving or reconfiguring. Discontinue use and seek service if the cord, plug or charging cable is damaged, if the appliance trips the electrical supply, if water enters the fan body or if burning odour is detected.
