Thirty litres of water pulled out of the air every day is a serious dehumidification figure — and in Delhi NCR it fixes a long list of problems most people never label as humidity problems. Damp patches spreading across an outer wall through August. The musty smell in a shut guest room. Clothes that hang for two days and still come off the line stale. Leather bags and shoes going green at the back of a wardrobe. Books softening, papers curling, wooden furniture swelling so the drawers stick. Between July and September indoor humidity in a closed flat routinely sits above 80%. Hold the room in the selectable 40–70% band instead and the damage stops happening in the first place. The 4.5 L tank lifts out by its handle when you want it simple; attach the supplied drain pipe kit to a floor drain and the machine runs continuously without ever being emptied.
Plasmacluster — SHARP's own patented ion technology
A filter can only clean the air that physically passes through it. Plasmacluster works on the room itself: the unit releases positive and negative ions into the space, where they act on airborne particles and on everything settled across curtains, upholstery, bedding and cupboard corners that airflow never draws past a filter. It is SHARP's own patented technology, developed in Japan and carried across their appliance range. Here you get both approaches running at once — mechanical capture of what the fan pulls in, and ion action on the rest of the room. That combination is the reason this machine smells different to live with, not just cleaner on a readout.
Laundry Drying Mode — the feature that earns its keep in a Delhi monsoon
Between July and September, washing hung indoors in a flat with no balcony can take two days to dry and still come out smelling sour. That smell is bacterial growth in fabric that stayed damp too long — it is not a detergent failure, and no amount of extra rinsing fixes it. Laundry Mode aims concentrated dry airflow straight at hanging clothes, cutting drying time sharply and stopping the odour from ever developing. It works the same way on shoes and leather goods soaked on a commute. For a compact flat where the drying rack lives in the bedroom through the rains, this one mode can justify the machine on its own.

🧭 Five sensors — the machine adjusts itself
The light sensor is the quietly clever one — it reads that the room has gone dark and settles the unit into quieter, dimmer night running on its own, so nobody has to remember to press anything at bedtime.
Humidity, temperature and PM2.5 shown as live readings on a colour touch screen. Watching PM2.5 drop after you shut the windows on a bad December evening is what turns an air purifier from an act of faith into something you can actually check.
Coanda-effect airflow hugs the ceiling and travels deep into the room instead of dissipating a foot in front of the unit. Auto up/down louver movement plus manual left/right adjustment lets you aim the output at the drying rack, into a damp corner, or across the whole room.
The tank has a carrying handle for easy emptying. Better still, connect the supplied drain pipe kit to a floor drain or outlet and it runs indefinitely with no emptying at all — which is what you want when it is working hard through peak monsoon or in a basement.
All-direction castors mean one person rolls it between rooms easily — purify the bedroom overnight, dehumidify the store room by day. It runs on ordinary 220–240 V household supply at 270–330 W, so it plugs in anywhere in the flat.
