The DCF02BLEU puts an aroma intensity selector on the front panel, so the same beans can be run delicate and light for a long, easy morning cup, or intense for a short, powerful one that stands up to milk. The 1–4 cup function works alongside it: when you brew a small quantity the machine adjusts the cycle so a two-cup brew is genuinely strong rather than thin. Between the aroma selector and the small-brew mode, one machine covers the light drinker and the strong-coffee drinker in the same kitchen, from the same pot of grounds.

Borewell and tanker water across Delhi NCR is hard, and scale is what quietly kills a coffee machine: slower brewing, cooler coffee, a flat taste. The DCF02BLEU lets you set the water hardness to match your supply, then tracks usage and raises a decalcification alert when it is genuinely time to descale — you do the job on schedule instead of guessing, and the brew temperature and flow rate stay where Smeg set them. Delhi mornings run in shifts — one person leaves at 7, the next is up at 8. The hotplate holds the carafe at drinking temperature for up to 40 minutes after brewing, so the second and third cup are poured hot from the same pot instead of being reheated or thrown away.
Glass lets you see exactly how much coffee is left before you commit to pouring, and the graduated carafe makes measuring for two, four or ten cups a glance rather than a guess. It lifts straight off the plate and back on in one motion.
A 1050 watt heating element brings the full tank up to brewing temperature quickly on standard Indian household supply at 220–240V, 50/60Hz — it runs off any normal kitchen point, no special wiring and no separate stabiliser box on the counter.
