Why a glass jar matters for juice — and what it isn't
Plastic absorbs colour and smell; glass does not. Blend beetroot or carrot juice in a plastic jar and it stains permanently; blend garlic chutney and the jar smells of it for weeks afterwards. A dedicated glass jar for juices and shakes means your morning smoothie never tastes faintly of last night's masala. Glass is also completely non-reactive, so acidic citrus and tomato juices don't pick up any off-flavour. One honest clarification: this is a glass blending jar, not a separate centrifugal juicer attachment — Sujata is well known for its juicer-mixer models, and if that's what you want, ask us about those instead.
90 minutes continuous — engineered for sustained load, not short bursts
Most domestic mixers carry a duty-cycle rating of roughly 5 to 15 minutes, after which the motor must cool or it burns out. That's fine for a quick chutney, but it's exactly why so many mixers fail during festival cooking, wedding preparation, or a long batch of masala grinding — households simply run them past what they were built for. The double ball bearing motor here replaces sliding friction with rolling friction on both ends of the shaft, which is what makes 90 minutes of unbroken running achievable. For batch cooking, large families, or a small food business run from home, this is the difference between a machine that lasts years and one that fails in its second season.
Cheaper mixers use bushings — sleeves the shaft rubs against, which wear and develop play until the motor runs rough and overheats. Ball bearings on both ends replace that with rolling friction: far less wear, less heat, less vibration, and much lower maintenance over the machine's life.
A slower blade spends longer in contact with spices, generating friction heat that drives off the volatile oils carrying flavour in cardamom, cumin and coriander. At 22,000 RPM the cut finishes before much heat builds, so freshly ground masala keeps its aroma in the powder rather than losing it to the air.
Fully shock-proof construction — genuinely important in a kitchen where the machine is handled with wet hands, often on a wet counter. ABS is also impact-resistant and won't corrode, unlike painted metal bodies that chip and rust over the years.
